PBS KIDS VIPIf you don't already have those DVR's set, get ready - today is the day that THE COOKIE THIEF premieres on PBS KIDS, bringing the first-ever one-hour Cookie Monster special to the masses! This Sesame Street special is "a classic chewdunnit" that guest stars SNL-alum Rachel Dratch as a museum security guard that's looking to finger someone for the theft of a priceless piece of cookie art - Leonardo da Crunchy's The Muncha Lisa! But why would Cookie Monster take such an iconic piece of art? Well, you'll just have to gather the kids to find out...

As a member of the PBS KIDS VIP (Very Involved Parent) crew, my girls and I got an early look at THE COOKIE THIEF, and the little ones even took things a step further by elaborating on some of their artistic whims, breaking out the watercolors for a little post-show painting. It's pretty appropriate seeing as both of our girls have middle names taken from French impressionist painters - Monet and Renoir.

An then, I might've even popped on the Chef's hat for a little culinary fun of my own...
