VOLTRON: LEGENDARY DEFENDER - Season Two Announced!

Netflix Stream TeamI've been singing the praises of the Netflix Original Series, VOLTRON: LEGENDARY DEFENDER ever since I went behind the scenes at DreamWorks Animation back in early May.  While it was pretty obvious from the get-go (Playmates Toys' new action figures won't be out until 2017), it's now 100% official that the second season of VOLTRON: LEGENDARY DEFENDER will be hitting Netflix later this fall. At San Diego Comic-Con International this afternoon, executive producer Joaquim Dos Santos, co-executive producer Lauren Montgomery and writer Tim Hedrick made it official, while joined by surprise guest Steven Yeun (THE WALKING DEAD), who voices Keith the pilot of the red lion.

Season 2 will pick up in the moments following the season one finale cliffhanger,  with viewers following Team Voltron in the wake of Haggar's disruption of their wormhole as they are scattered across the universe.

Additionally, fans who want to dig on that groovy, synth-driven, 80s-inspired soundtrack can do so right now! The season 1 soundtrack by Alex Geringas, Brad Breeck and Brian Parkhurst is available for download on iTunes.

James Zahn is best-known as The Rock Father™, a media personality, commentator, adventurer and raconteur. He currently serves as an artist manager and video director for PRODUCT OF HATE, whose debut album was released by Napalm Records in 2016, distributed by ADA/Warner Music in the U.S. with Universal Music handling global. A new album has been completed and is set for release this year.

James and/or his work have been featured in/on CNN, FOX Business, NBC, ABC, WGN, G4, The Chicago Tribune, BusinessWire, Babble, Fangoria, Starlog and more. He's appeared as a music expert on CNN's AC360 alongside Anderson Cooper, and has been interviewed by Larry King. In the past he served as a writer for the Netflix Stream Team,  Fandango Family and PBS KIDS, penned articles for Sprout and PopSugar, and was a contributor to Chicago Parent.
