After some festival appearances and a limited theatrical run last year, NERDLAND, the feature-length animated adult comedy from Titmouse, Inc., creators of the hit animated series Metalocalypse, comes to Blu-ray and DVD February 7, 2017 (out now on Digital HD), from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Samuel Goldwyn Films. The film features Paul Rudd (Sausage PartyAnt-Man) and Patton Oswalt (Ratatouille, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) leading an all-star comic voice cast in a tale of two showbiz nobodies (Rudd and Oswalt) determined to become famous at any cost. Check out the trailer (not for kids!) and details below...

About the Film: Aspiring actor JOHN (Paul Rudd) and wannabe screenwriter ELLIOT (Patton Oswalt) are slacker best friends who have seen their dreams of super-stardom fizzle.  With their 30th birthdays looming and desperation growing, they decide that in this 24/7, celebrity-obsessed world of over-shared navel-gazing, there are more ways to get famous than ever before -- so why not become famous by the end of the day, at any cost?! With only the grudging support of a wacky collectible store owner (Hannibal Buress) and their one-sided love for a pair of equally fame hungry women (Riki Lindhome & Kate Micucci) to keep them going, John and Elliot troll Los Angeles on an attention grabbing journey of reckless publicity stunts and failed heroics. While navigating their hyper-stimulating landscape of consumerism gone wild, our disheartened duo inadvertently become key witnesses in a high profile crime that sets the news cycle on fire, making them household names... but only if they can survive the infamy and worldwide shame.

Featuring non-stop laughs, outrageously bold animation, and hilarious cameos, NERDLAND also features the voice talent of Hannibal Burress (The Angry Birds Movie), Larraine Newman (TV’s “Saturday Night Live”), Mike Judge (TV’s “Beavis and Butt-Head”), Molly Shannon (Hotel Transylvania 1 & 2), Charlyne Yi (Knocked Up), and Paul Scheer (TV’s “The League”).

NERDLAND was directed by Chris Prynoski (TV’s “Turbo FAST,” “Metalocalypse”) and written by Andrew Kevin Walker (Sleepy Hollow, Se7en).  It was produced by Gavin Polone (Zombieland) and Andrew Kevin Walker. Executive producers are Chris Prynoski, Shannon Barrett Prynoski and Kathy Landsberg. It has a run time of approximately 85 minutes and is unrated.
