Super Star Wars: The Last Jedi? Watch Luke Skywalker take on Kylo Ren in 16-Bit Animation!

Written by

Back when the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) was in its original run (I still have yet to acquire an SNES Classic Edition), JVC and Lucasarts released a trio of games based on the Original Star Wars Trilogy. Super Star Wars (1992), Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1993) and Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1994) rank among my favorite games for that system, and now there's a new video that recalls the excitement of those titles. From 16-bit animator John Stratman, here's Luke Skywalker facing off against Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Last Jedi... in classic SNES style!

Now, if this looks a little familiar, you may have seen Stratman's work over at JoBlo in their 8-Bit Trailers series, in which he crafts game-style trailers for a ton of pop culture icons.

For more STAR WARS news, reviews and features, including the latest on STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI, Ron Howard's Solo: A Star Wars Story, J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: EPISODE IX, STAR WARS REBELS and Rian Johnson's New Star Wars Trilogy, check out TheRockFather.com/StarWars
