Watch: The New Trailer for Zach Braff's ABC Comedy "Alex, Inc."

Written by

My wife is a massive fan of Zach Braff. That said, I almost felt bad when I was introduced to Mr. Braff at a dinner in Los Angeles two years ago and she wasn't there. In another adventure fit for a book I should probably one day write, I was dining with Larry King (we shot footage for a pilot together!) at Craig's, and over in a corner booth sat Zach Braff, Kate Hudson, and another gentleman whose name I missed. Larry says to our table "Do you like Zach Braff? Let me introduce you..." before leading the group over there for a nice conversation. I've never told that story online before, but it seems appropriate now since we've got the trailer for Alex, Inc., a new ABC series that's executive produced by, directed by and starring Zach Braff.

Based on Alex Blumberg’s successful podcast StartUp, comedy series Alex, Inc. is all about the things that happen – the good, the bad and the ugly – when a journalist and family man quits his job to start his own company. He quickly discovers it’s going to be a lot harder than he thought.

The series stars Zach Braff (Scrubs) as Alex Schuman, Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos) as Eddie, Tiya Sircar (Star Wars Rebels) as Rooni Schuman, Hillary Anne Matthews as Deirdre, Elisha Henig as Ben Schuman and Audyssie James as Soraya Schuman.

Matt Tarses is executive producer and writer. In addition to his role in front of the camera, Zach Braff is executive producer and director. John Davis and John Fox are executive producers from Davis Entertainment, as are Alex Blumberg, Chris Gilberti and Matt Lieber (Gimlet Media) in association with Sony Pictures Television and ABC Studios.

Premiering on Wednesday, March 28 at 8:30/7:30c.
