With the merger between The Walt Disney Company and 21st Century Fox currently underway, it was only a matter of time before some cross-pollination occurred. While many fans look forward to uniting some missing Marvel characters back with their counterparts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, today we've got our first look at some other opportunities that might present themselves. In the latest trailer for Fox's DEADPOOL 2, Ryan Reynolds takes it upon himself to make up for some unfinished visual FX by acting out scenes with action figures and Hot Wheels. In fact, it looks VERY much like my office here at Rock Father HQ. At one point, Deadpool pays homage to Tom Hanks' Woody from TOY STORY, donning the famous cowboy outfit and telling Cable (Josh Brolin) to "Reach for the sky!" Check it out...

DEADPOOL 2 will arrive in theaters this May, and while he's technically a character ripped from the pages of Marvel Comics, the antics of the entertaining, yet vulgar hero can make merchandising a little bit tricky. Ryan Reynolds' on-screen portrayal of "The Merc with a Mouth" has spun a lot of attention back toward the source material, and that's had fans and collectors eagerly-awaiting some new gear for 2018. Hasbro is answering the call for older fans, with a new assortment of comic-inspired DEADPOOL toys, including action figures and role-play items... in adult sizes! Check out the official details below, direct from my friends at Hasbro!

On June 1, 2018, Ryan Reynolds will return to the big screen, once again starring as Wade Wilson in 20th Century Fox's DEADPOOL 2. Now, ahead of Thanksgiving, the first official teaser has arrived in all of its Bob Ross glory. Nothing wrong with fresh powder and making friends with happy little trees, but you're gonna want to keep this one from the kids as language is an issue, and stuff does blow up good. Check it out... and beat this teaser like it owes you money.

With the MARVEL Cinematic Universe being detached from what the folks at 20th Century Fox are doing with the MARVEL properties that they licensed in the pre-Disney era - it's often difficult to explain to casual audiences that the X-MEN, FANTASTIC 4 and now DEADPOOL operate outside of the THE AVENGERS and S.H.I.E.L.D.-infused realm that MARVEL Studios has created. There's a difference in tone, and that's probably to the benefit of DEADPOOL, a "hard-R" action comedy starring Ryan Reynolds as the chimichanga-loving anti-hero. After blowing up San Diego Comic-Con last month, and racking up nearly 7 Million+ views in a day for a trailer for a trailer, tonight Conan O'Brien presented the world with their first genuine look at the upcoming film. Behold the full trailer for 20th Century Fox's DEADPOOL (in both green and red band flavors)!

After blowing up Comic-Con International in San Diego last month, the Belle of the SDCC Ball is finally here... sort of. 20th Century Fox has unleashed the DEADPOOL Trailer Trailer - a teaser for the trailer for DEADPOOL. If you want to see the actual trailer, Deadpool says you're going to have to wait until tomorrow - like SILVERCHAIR once said. But this time, Ryan Reynolds did. Check out the DEADPOOL Trailer Trailer below, right here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine!

Ryan Reynolds just may be the most prolific player of comic book characters out there. He's been in the MARVEL realm as Hannibal King in BLADE: TRINITY, then over in the DC Universe he was Hal Jordan (aka The GREEN LANTERN), and now he's back over in the MARVEL realm as the character he's always wanted to play: DEADPOOL. If you're not familiar with DEADPOOL, get ready - because there's no other hero quite like him. He knows that he's a character in a comic book (or film), and frequently breaks the fourth wall to speak with the audience. He's also finds himself to be quite good-looking... in a 1970s kind of way. Here's your first look at Ryan in the #OfficialSuit.
