The Tantive IV aka the "Rebel Blockade Runner" was the first ship that viewers ever saw on-screen in the original STAR WARS. An iconic ship used by the Royal House of Alderaan, the Tantive IV has even made appearances in STAR WARS REBELS. The 2007 Titanium Series Tantive IV vehicle is today's entry into Hasbro's Force Friday Countdown Calendar as we move toward #ForceFriday on September 4th, the day when new toys from J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS will be available at retailers everywhere!

Captain Faro Argyus was a member of the Galactic Republic's Senate Guard... and he happened to be completely down with Count Dooku and the Separatists. It didn't work out too well for him. Argyus was voiced by actor James Marsters (BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER), who was born on this day back in 1962. The 2009 THE CLONE WARS Captain Argyus figure is today's entry into Hasbro's Force Friday Countdown Calendar as we move toward #ForceFriday on September 4th, the day when new toys from J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS will be available at retailers everywhere!

I've been waiting months for this one - a chance to properly throw a slab of "Lapti Nek" on the turntable and share some words about The Max Rebo Band. Rebo, along with Sy Snootles and Droopy McCool brought solid jams to Jabba's Palace in RETURN OF THE JEDI, later expanding from a three-piece into a who-knows-how-many piece in the 1997 "Special Edition" release. Not only did they gain members and back-up dancers, but most of Snootles' vocal stylings got plucked in favor of some alien John Popper called "Joh Yowza." The 1983 Kenner STAR WARS Sy Snootles and The Rebo Band 3-Pack is today's entry into Hasbro's Force Friday Countdown Calendar as we move toward #ForceFriday on September 4th, the day when new toys from J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS will be available at retailers everywhere!

It's sometimes a weird space for toys when a license exists, but there's not really a new main property to support it. That happened in the mid-00's, a time when it was assumed (and said) that the STAR WARS Prequels were the end of the big screen SW movies. Proving (to me, anyway) that sometimes two great tastes don't go together like peanut butter and chocolate, STAR WARS got mashed with TRANSFORMERS. If I were a kid, I don't know that I'd want a Boba Fett that turned into his ship, but someone actually made that. The 2006 STAR WARS TRANSFORMERS Darth Vader Crossover Figure is today's entry into Hasbro's Force Friday Countdown Calendar as we move toward #ForceFriday on September 4th, the day when new toys from J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS will be available at retailers everywhere!

There was a time in the 1990s when STAR WARS wasn't really a big deal, and in a lot of ways it felt off-the-radar. As Kenner began releasing new, buffed-up STAR WARS figures in 1995, renewed attention was put on the vintage line - in a time where the internet wasn't quite there yet when it came to hunting things down. Certain figures were legendary - some based on characters that many didn't even realize were in the films at all - and one of those was Yak Face. This Joe Camel-looking fellow was seen briefly in 1983's RETURN OF THE JEDI, most notably on the ill-fated Sail Barge belonging to Jabba the Hutt. Two years later, this character was released as one of the last figures in THE POWER OF THE FORCE line. The 1985 Kenner STAR WARS Power of the Force Yak Face figure is today's entry into Hasbro's Force Friday Countdown Calendar as we move toward #ForceFriday on September 4th, the day when new toys from J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS will be available at retailers everywhere!
