With Star Wars: The Last Jedi rolling out on Digital HD this week, Lucasfilm released a new episode of The Star Wars Show a day ahead of its usual Wednesday slot, reporting back from Mark Hamill's Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony that took place last week. The crew sits down for a few words with Hamill, alongside George Lucas and Harrison Ford, and delves into the world of cinematic puppeteering with Brian Herring aka "the guy in the green suit behind BB-8." There's some cool knowledge dropped regarding the process of bringing a character like Rogue One's Admiral Raddus to life, along with the caretakers from The Last Jedi and of course, the famed Astromech ball droid. The latest addition to the "I wish they had this when I was a kid" department here at Rock Father HQ comes from Radio Flyer, who've just announced their Star Wars Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder Ride-on toy. Geared toward kids ages 4+, this two-seater hits a top speed of 5mph, and bears a weight limit of 130 lbs. Modeled after the iconic X-34 craft from 1977's Star Wars: A New Hope, this ride features an interactive dashboard with movie-accurate lights and sounds, and provides the perfect craft for chasing down your pesky run-away R2 unit. Just watch out for Sandpeople, though - the Jundland Wastes are not to be traveled lightly, and Tusken Raiders often travel single file to hide their numbers. See the Radio Flyer Landspeeder in action below!

Bad Lip Reading is one of YouTube's finest channels, and one permanently marked with "legendary" status here at Rock Father HQ thanks to their Star Wars parody, SEAGULLS! (Stop It Now) - A Bad Lip Reading of The Empire Strikes Back. Our four-year-old has the song and it's dialogue breaks completely memorized. Now comes a new trip into a galaxy far, far away with THE FORCE AWAKENS: A Bad Lip Reading (featuring Mark Hamill as Han Solo). It's almost overdue that they're just now getting to THE FORCE AWAKENS, but it's a good clip - one in which Han Solo (indeed, voiced by Luke Skywalker himself) has a language barrier issue with Admiral Ackbar (who's first name is "Bill"), in addition to some pretty exciting moments while looking for the gift shop at Starkiller Base alongside Rey, Finn and Chewbacca. When it comes to toys, the Kenner STAR WARS Luke Skywalker "Large Size" Action Figure from 1979 pretty much epitomizes the seventies. While Kenner pioneered the popular 3¾ action figures that became the standard - they were coming off an era where G.I. JOE, MEGO, and BARBIE's Ken reigned supreme in more of a "doll" kind of form. While this one was based on Mark Hamill's appearance as the young space farmer in 1977's STAR WARS, by 1983's RETURN OF THE JEDI, Luke was decked-out in all black and ready to rock. Fast-forward a few decades and even Mickey Mouse was busting out a Luke Skywalker cosplay, and that's what I've chosen to feature alongside today's entry into Hasbro's Force Friday Countdown Calendar as we move toward the September 4th release of toys from J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. I'm keeping it interesting...

Fresh from STAR WARS CELEBRATION in Anaheim comes the second official teaser for J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. This is everything you've been waiting to see, and so much is hidden in just a two minute teaser. Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie? Yes, they're all here with so many nods to the past as we glimpse into the future. Watch this now...
