When it comes to some cool STAR WARS gifts, Hallmark has been a go-to source for many years. We have a dedicated Xmas tree just for their STAR WARS Keepsake Ornaments, and The Rock Daughters have amassed a robust collection of their STAR WARS itty bittys as well. Now comes news of some new and upcoming offerings that will no doubt expand our collection this year, and what better day to showcase them then on STAR WARS day?

Comic-Con is always BIG, but this year may have been the biggest ever, with fans going crazy for new looks at some hot properties. While rumors had Warner Bros. holding off on SUICIDE SQUAD to focus on BATMAN v. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE - they were wrong... way wrong. In fact, moments after the first teaser for David Ayer's SUICIDE SQUAD hit the screen in Hall H, nearly the entire cast of the upcoming DC Comics-based film hit the stage to thunderous applause. Unfortunately, the SDCC first-look footage was bootlegged in poor quality (and subsequently NOT posted on this site), and today the folks at Warner Bros. have released a legitimate version. Check out the new teaser now, right here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine... JUSTICE HAS A BAD SIDE.

According to Director Zack Snyder, the "big rule" he and his team on BATMAN v. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE "broke" was putting Gotham City and Metropolis next to each other. "They're sister cities - it's like Oakland vs. San Francisco," he states. This new dynamic was on display in new footage unveiled as part of an all-new trailer at Comic-Con International by Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics, bringing out an appearance by the cast of the film, which hits theaters on March 25, 2016. Check it out below, right here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine!

As a huge fan of Guy Ritchie, seeing him tackle the 1960s TV series THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. as a big-screen spy adventure. Moments ago, Warner Bros. unveiled a massive, five-minute trailer for the film at Comic-Con International in San Diego, and it's now available in official form for the world at large. In theaters on August 14, 2015, get a new look at The Man from U.N.C.L.E. below, and get your tix now via Fandango...

Moments ago, the much-anticipated STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS panel wrapped at Comic-Con International in San Diego, with the entire principal cast of the film - Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford - appearing alongside filmmaker J.J. Abrams, Producer and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and Writer Lawrence Kasdan. At the close of the panel, the group and those in attendance followed composer John Williams to "another location" to witness a live STAR WARS concert (under the escort of First Order Stormtroopers). One of many highlights of the panel was the debut of a special reel that was designed to take viewers inside the creation of THE FORCE AWAKENS, and that footage has arrived in an official form for you to watch right now. Enjoy...

It feels like it really crept up on us this year, but the annual Comic-Con International is set to take place in San Diego from July 9-12, and the crew over at Toys "R" Us has unveiled their full lineup of exclusive items, which they've once again partnered with the folks from Entertainment Earth to make available on-site. It's a Hasbro-heavy collection, but Mattel, Bandai, Mezco and Schleich are also in the mix this year, with toys also being made available online on July 9th as part of Toys "R" Us' all-new #CollectorVector - a store-within-a-store that will focus on the "mature collector." This announcement was made a few days back, but since I've been traveling, I'm a little late with the news, but I do have some thoughts on these. The Batgirl, G.I. Joe and STAR WARS sets are items I'd love to have here at Rock Father HQ, while I should probably avoid showing the girls the MLP offerings...
