I still don't know a score or what's been happening between the goal posts, but The Rock Daughters™ are watching Lady Gaga do a Halftime Show performance in-between all the fantastic new movie clips rolling out during the "Big Game," not to be confused with the NFL's "Super Bowl." if you're like me and only care about the national sporting event for the commercials, check out the latest look at Michael Bay's Transformers: The Last Knight - in theaters on June 23, 2017 from Paramount Pictures.
It's hard to believe that it's already been ten years since Michael Bay's first TRANSFORMERS film hit theaters, but this summer the adventure continues when Paramount Pictures releases Transformers: The Last Knight on June 23, 2017. A new film means spinning things back to where it all began with some new toys from Hasbro, and two of the new ones just made their debut at the Hong Kong Toy Fair. Check out two beautiful new versions of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee below!
2017 is going to be a massive year at the movies, and on June 23rd it's the Autobots vs. Decepticons once more as Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters. The fifth film in the live-action franchise based on the iconic Hasbro toys finds filmmaker Michael Bay back at the helm with a cast that includes Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Anthony Hopkins, Laura Haddock, Isabella Moner, Stanley Tucci and John Turturro. As a huge fan of the Transformers overall, this one is one of my most-anticipated films for the coming year, and tonight Paramount Pictures unleashed the first teaser trailer. Check it out...
Whenever The Rock Daughters spy a yellow and black Chevrolet Camaro on the streets, they always shout "there's Bumblebee!" For awhile following the release of Michael Bay's first TRANSFORMERS movie in 2007 (which pre-dated our parenthood by two years), you could actually buy an officially-licensed TRANSFORMERS Edition Camaro through Chevy, and over the years several of the Autobot-badged rides have been spotted not far from Rock Father HQ. With 2017's TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT, perhaps a new package will be available for purchase, as Bay has teased Bumblebee's latest version, a 2016 Camaro, possibly based on the ZL1 we saw at the Chicago Auto Show earlier this year. Keeping with the classic yellow, the new 'Bee features deeper black accents spread across the wheels, hood and a new ground effects package.
The TRANSFORMERS franchise is something I hold very close to my heart in nearly all of its forms - from the 1984 G1 (Generation 1) cartoons and toys, all the way through Michael Bay's live-action film series. Sure, there have been some missteps here and there, but what franchise is without the occasional wrong turn? For the fifth installment of the film series, there have been a lot of rumors thrown around, but the one that really sticks is that the fifth round will be the start of something different... perhaps even something closer to the classic TRANSFORMERS action that many have been craving. What we do know today is that TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT begins production this week in Cuba, confirmed on Bay's website and the TRANSFORMERS socials.
