I get pulled in by a great biopic, love films rooted in musical history and particularly enjoy those set in the 70s and 80s. Put all of those things together and you've set the stage for the long-awaited Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody. Today, 20th Century Fox unleashed the first teaser trailer for the film which stars Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aiden Gillen, Tom Hollander, and Mike Myers. Crank it up and watch it below!

Nostalgia is a serious thing right now, and when it's done right, the way to move forward into the future is by providing a link to the past. From 20th Century Fox, the PREDATOR franchise is being rebooted, and in this first trailer audiences are getting a look at a very different movie than the ones that have preceded it. THE PREDATOR finds a suburban boy unknowingly luring the intergalactic hunters back to earth in a scene that takes me right back to a simpler time - a realm of imagination and wonder much like that seen in films like the Goonies or Monster Squad. The latter was a 1987 collaboration between Shane Black and Fred Dekker, and for THE PREDATOR they're working together again, co-writing the screenplay and with Black (Lethal Weapon) at the helm. Take a look...

Fun fact: When I was traveling to Los Angeles for the World Premiere of Avengers: Infinity War last month, I was wearing a pair of DEADPOOL High Tops that my friends at ThinkGeek sent me. Then, the following night - Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld and his son were a few steps behind me as we walked the purple carpet at the premiere. Me being the dork that I am, I neglected to say hello to the creator of the character whose style was adorning my feet not 24 hours earlier. A missed opportunity, but I'm still looking forward to the May 18 debut of DEADPOOL 2, and today we've got our first taste of the soundtrack... by Céline Dion. "Ashes" is the new music video staring Dion and Deadpool, and really it speaks for itself, so enjoy.

With the merger between The Walt Disney Company and 21st Century Fox currently underway, it was only a matter of time before some cross-pollination occurred. While many fans look forward to uniting some missing Marvel characters back with their counterparts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, today we've got our first look at some other opportunities that might present themselves. In the latest trailer for Fox's DEADPOOL 2, Ryan Reynolds takes it upon himself to make up for some unfinished visual FX by acting out scenes with action figures and Hot Wheels. In fact, it looks VERY much like my office here at Rock Father HQ. At one point, Deadpool pays homage to Tom Hanks' Woody from TOY STORY, donning the famous cowboy outfit and telling Cable (Josh Brolin) to "Reach for the sky!" Check it out...

As the saying goes, it's been "one of the worst-kept secrets" in Hollywood the past few weeks, but now it's as official as it can be... a press release was issued this morning to confirm that "The Walt Disney Company to Acquire 21st Century Fox, Inc. after spin-off of certain businesses." Now, for the casual reader that doesn't necessarily follow the business side of entertainment, 21st Century Fox is indeed what you know as 20th Century Fox - the result of a corporate name change that happened back in 2013. Bottom line is that Disney will now control the Twentieth Century Fox Film and Television studios, along with cable and international TV businesses. What's important to note is that 21st Century Fox will separate the Fox Broadcasting network and stations into a newly-listed company that will be spun-off to its shareholders prior to the acquisition. That means that Disney will not take ownership of Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, FS1, FS2 or Big Ten Network. So what will happen for fans of the great content that Disney and Fox have been producing? All signs point to good things. More below...
