Poster Debut: THE KID WHO WOULD BE KING

Next spring, "Evil Gets Schooled." Or say says the tagline for 20th Century Fox's THE KID WHO WOULD BE KING. Ahead of a trailer debut sometime very soon the studio has released the first official one-sheet for this magical new adventure. Written and directed by Joe Cornish (Attack the Block), the film stars Louis Ashbourne Serkis, Dean Chaumoo, Tom Taylor, Rhianna Dorris, Angus Imrie, Patrick Stewart and Rebecca Ferguson.

If you count the Deadpool films, 20th Century Fox's X-Men franchise now stands at 11 films with two more on the way (Dark Phoenix and The New Mutants). That said, it seems like the original X-Men Trilogy took place in an entirely different time... and in reality, it's been nearly 20 years since Brian Singer's X-Men hit theaters. Now, the first three films are getting an upgrade, coming home again in 4K Ultra HD as "The X-Men Trilogy Evolution."

The X-Files has now been around for 25 years, and when it was at its peak, I was a massive fan. I was that back in 1998, I was that guy that had to have The X-Files Movie on "letterbox" VHS to preserve the widescreen cinematic format in the time before DVD and flat screen TVs. At that same time, I distinctly recall purchasing a set of X-Files Barbie dolls by Mattel - Ken and Barbie as Mulder and Scully. Fast-forward two decades and I believe our set is long gone (sold at some point along the way, or stashed in a box somewhere), but now it's happening again... but this time it's not Ken and Barbie doing cosplay, but new X-Files Barbie dolls crafted to resemble Special Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson). The duo are available to order right now.

I get pulled in by a great biopic, love films rooted in musical history and particularly enjoy those set in the 70s and 80s. Put all of those things together and you've set the stage for the long-awaited Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody. Today, 20th Century Fox unleashed the first teaser trailer for the film which stars Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aiden Gillen, Tom Hollander, and Mike Myers. Crank it up and watch it below!

Nostalgia is a serious thing right now, and when it's done right, the way to move forward into the future is by providing a link to the past. From 20th Century Fox, the PREDATOR franchise is being rebooted, and in this first trailer audiences are getting a look at a very different movie than the ones that have preceded it. THE PREDATOR finds a suburban boy unknowingly luring the intergalactic hunters back to earth in a scene that takes me right back to a simpler time - a realm of imagination and wonder much like that seen in films like the Goonies or Monster Squad. The latter was a 1987 collaboration between Shane Black and Fred Dekker, and for THE PREDATOR they're working together again, co-writing the screenplay and with Black (Lethal Weapon) at the helm. Take a look...

Fun fact: When I was traveling to Los Angeles for the World Premiere of Avengers: Infinity War last month, I was wearing a pair of DEADPOOL High Tops that my friends at ThinkGeek sent me. Then, the following night - Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld and his son were a few steps behind me as we walked the purple carpet at the premiere. Me being the dork that I am, I neglected to say hello to the creator of the character whose style was adorning my feet not 24 hours earlier. A missed opportunity, but I'm still looking forward to the May 18 debut of DEADPOOL 2, and today we've got our first taste of the soundtrack... by Céline Dion. "Ashes" is the new music video staring Dion and Deadpool, and really it speaks for itself, so enjoy.
