THE WHIRLYGIGS are is a one-man band, perhaps the first one-man affair that I've covered here on THE ROCK FATHER. With MR. WHIRLY performing up to four instruments at one time (but only having two arms), the man pulls of the band on his debut album, GREETINGS FROM CLOUD 9 (Amazon, iTunes, Bandcamp), but the big challenge now is getting it in front of a wide audience, and as such - Whirly is offering a FREE DOWNLOAD of the new track, "Lookin' Out the Window." Stream it below...

"Lookin' Out the Window" - lyrics by Mr. Whirly

Lookin’ out the window tell me what do you see
It’s beautiful, It’s beautiful
Lookin’out the window tell me what do you see
It’s beautiful
So many trees with the colorful leaves
doin’ a lil dance while they sway in the breeze
Lookin’out the window it’s oh so beautiful

Lookin’ out the window at the stars at night
It’s beautiful, It’s beautiful
Lookin’ out the window at the stars at night
It’s beautiful
Moon’s so big as it lights up the sky
I kinda see the guy with the twinkle in his eye
Lookin out the window at the stars so beautiful

Sittin by the river tell me how you feel
Powerful, powerful
Sittin by the river tell me how you feel
It’s oh so fast and it’s oh so loud
make me feel strong, make me feel proud
Sittin by the river is oh so powerful

Lookin at your mamma tell me what do you see
she’s beautiful, she’s beautiful
Lookin’ at your pappa tell me what do you see
He ain’t so bad
Snuggle in between ‘em in the middle of the night
lets me know everything gonna be alright
Lookin at my mamma and my papa so beautiful

Lookin in the mirror tell me what do you see
it’s beautiful, it’s beautiful
Lookin in the mirror tell ya what I see
My hairy chin
It might sound funny but when I sing
makes me feel like I’m a part of everything
lookin in the mirror is oh so beautiful

Lookin out the window tell me what do you see
It’s beautiful , It’s beautiful
lookin out the window tell me what do you see
all my dreams
Lookin out the window both far and wide
but all i really need to do is look inside
lookin out the window at all my dreams.

Maybe I listen to too much music, but I think that this song has some real kinship with FUN LOVIN' CRIMINALS' 1996 namesake track, "The Fun Lovin' Criminal."

Time for a mashup?
