Well, this is a reminder out of nowhere. The folks at READING RAINBOW have been in touch a few times over the past few years, and every time I hear from them, I automatically end up getting the theme song to the iconic LeVar Burton family literature series stuck in my head. So why did it get stuck in my head this morning? No, it wasn't communique from READING RAINBOW at all, but an email from comedy metal band, PSYCHOSTICK. The band has just released a cover version of that earworm-inducing theme song, and you can hear it right here on THE ROCK FATHER, below.

"To all the papa's out there. Enjoy every minute of your kids. Nothing is more important," says New York's RENE LOPEZ about "Here Comes Another Day," the new music video from his forthcoming album, PAINT THE MOON GOLD. Shot earlier this month, the clip features the Lopez Kids - Cosimo and Ara - in an appearance that happened spontaneously as Rene and Director Ehud Lazin set out for an afternoon of filming. Check it out below, right here on THE ROCK FATHER.

MILKSHAKE's 2013 album, GOT A MINUTE? was a favorite hear upon release last year, and now the Baltimore-based Kindie rockers have released a new music video to go along with it. "Girls Wanna Dance" takes the kindie grooves back to 1975 - a time when live bands rocked-out in front of the kids for a truly memorable "school dance" experience. Check out the new video below, right here on THE ROCK FATHER...

"I love it, Dad." That's what Addie said to me after watching "Cinnamon Bear," the new music video from Brooklyn-based Kindie artist SUZI SHELTON's forthcoming album, SMILE IN MY HEART (more details on that, here). "He looks like my Halloween Bear. Actually, he might be related to Poopsie Bear," she said. She might be right, but now "Cinnamon Bear" has hit the 'net for all of you to see and enjoy. Call the kids to gather 'round the internet-connected device, and hit play on the box below...

MUPPETS MOST WANTED hit theaters this weekend, and from what I'm hearing, failed to heat up the box office, bringing in just $16.5M compared to the nearly $30M opening weekend for THE MUPPETS a few years back. Despite my deep, deep love for The Muppets, I have not made it out with Addie to see the new film just yet, and maybe that's the case with a lot of parents. Or maybe it's that on the surface (or perhaps deeper), MUPPETS MOST WANTED suffers from what many Muppets projects have in recent years - a lack of originality that finds the group always trying to save a theater or have a caper. It's a cycle that needs to be broken, and certainly CAN be broken if The Walt Disney Company puts the right creative team in place going forward. $16M is a disappointing haul for Kermit and the gang, and that's a shame. But I digress, I'm here to share with you the new music video from the MUPPETS MOST WANTED Soundtrack, "I'll Get You What You Want (Cockatoo in Malibu)," performed by Oscar-winner Bret McKenzie.

"[This video] took us a year to make. Really took our time with it, made sure it came it out just right," says Kindie Rock All-Star MISTA COOKIE JAR about "Call Me Mista Cookie Jar," the new music video for his namesake song by MISTA COOKIE JAR & THE CHOCOLATE CHIPS. Starting off in black and white before opening up a colorful and magical world at the 43-second mark, the new clip was just released, and you can get your first-look at it right now, right here on THE ROCK FATHER...
