It won't be released until March 26, but a copy of the new album from Grammy-Nominated Kindie Rockers, MILKSHAKE arrived here at Rock Father HQ this weekend. I really love the cover art of GOT A MINUTE?, the fifth album from the Milkshake crew. In fact, while the cover definitely resembles the modern family (scroll down to see it), the little girl really reminds me of my oldest daughter, Addie. There's even a fold-out poster included that features the same girl driving a little car while surrounded by different adventures. Talk about fitting.
I'm sporting a "winter beard" right now. Actually, I don't know if I can even call it a "winter beard," since it's more of a "Dad-doesn't-have-time-to-shave-while-taking-care-of-the-girls" beard. Regardless of my beard's legitimacy as a member of the winter variety, The Pop Ups have released a new single and video called "Winter Beard" which made it's debut on AOL Kids yesterday. Check out the video below...

Updated five years later (2017): I dig Kidz Bop now. Opinions change drastically.
As I tweeted earlier today: Parents - please, do not ever buy your children a KIDZ BOP album. In some States, doing so warrants a visit from DCFS.
Sure, the last part was an exaggeration, but I think most will agree that the KIDZ BOP series is pretty bad. In fact, the newly-released KIDZ BOP 23 just might be the finest album available for parents that don't like their children, or music.

As a celebration of the season, Oxford, UK-based children's performer NICK COPE has released a new Holiday song called "Snowman Kind of Day." It's a great new tune for the family, and he's offering it up for a free download!
When I heard that SteveSongs was releasing a free holiday single called "Our World," I immediately thought (and hoped) that it would be a cover of the song from EMMET OTTER'S JUGBAND CHRISTMAS. It is not... but it's still worth getting! SteveSongs' "Our World" is available as a Free Download now through December 31 via this link.
