Earlier this month I told you about the crew at Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star and their plans to releaseLullaby Versions of Twilight Breaking Dawn. Now, the residents of Forks, Washington and Twilight fans around the Globe can experience the album, which is on iTunes today for just $7.99. BREAKING DAWN follows TTLRS' 2009 collection that paid tribute to both TWILIGHT and NEW MOON (available here), and their 2010 homage to ECLIPSE (available here). Check out the BREAKING DAWN tracklisting below, right here onThe Rock Father™.
In 1984, Parker Brothers Music released A CABBAGE PATCH CHRISTMAS, a follow-up to their best-selling CABBAGE PATCH DREAMS. My sister and I had both of these records (on vinyl), as we both had some CABBAGE PATCH KIDS (mine in a Chicago White Sox uniform) as well. I was around 8 at the time, and here I sit almost 30 years later and those songs are still floating around in my head.
As the founder of Asian Man Records, Mike Park has become a fixture in the independent music scene, having released records from ALKALINE TRIO, SMOKING POPES, and many more. He's also been known to release some of his own music from time to time, and as a Rock Father of two himself - Park's latest release sets sights on the world of children's music. Released this past August, SMILE is a 12-track collection of original songs for the little ones, personally approved by Park's own son and daughter (3 & 5, I believe).
Having been in love with THE MUPPETS for the better part of the past 34 years or so (yes, that is ME pictured with Kermit the Frog below right), it's pretty much a given that MUPPETS: THE GREEN ALBUM would be something I'd be looking forward to. Originally announced in 2009 as MUPPETS REVISITED, the album underwent some tweaks before making it's way to market this week.
Last month we first told you about THE JUNO COMPANY's JUNO'S PIANO, a new App for the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch that helps teach children the real-life basics of playing the piano. As a parent myself, and with Kik Axe Music always on the lookout for the latest in music education, I decided to take a test-drive of my own, downloading the App for my iPhone.
