UNBOXED: Summer of MARVEL - Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors Edition

If you've paid a visit to the "action" aisles of your local toy retailer recently, there's a solid chance that you've seen MARVEL'S ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN: WEB WARRIORS Toys. The folks at Hasbro have been rolling these out since the spring, and we've actually got quite a few of them here at Rock Father HQ - several of which were featured a few months back in an episode of UNBOXED. But now we're in summer, and with summer comes a ton of role-play fun... the kind that's quite fitting for a #SummerOfMarvel. With Addie on an adventure of her own (truth: she was napping), Little Finn and I went outside to take a look at what Hasbro had bestowed upon us...

Now, if you've already watched the video, you'll note that Finely claims that "we already have this one" about both items in the box. She's right. Well, not 100% right, but essentially, yes, we do have variations on both items. The WEB SLINGERS BLASTERS Assortment (MSRP $14.99 each) features web-slinging gloves that are available in in several color schemes - each based on one of the different Spider-men. We do have a few of these now, and the kids user a variety of their web-slingers to take out some famous villains... in cardboard target form.

The Wise Cracking Electronic Mask (MSRP $19.99) is pretty cool, but it's very similar to the Spider Vision Mask that we reviewed from THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 toy line back in May of 2014. Actually, we unanimously like this one better, as the chin-activated voice function is a lot like our Rocket Raccoon Mask (or the upcoming Chewbacca variation).
