Enter the Kingdom of Wakanda with New BLACK PANTHER Toys from Disney Store...

Written by

The time has come - the much-anticipated eighteenth film in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe has arrived! Marvel Studios' BLACK PANTHER is now playing in theaters everywhere, and for kids and families looking to bring the Kingdom of Wakanda to life at home, there's no better destination than Disney Store and ShopDisney.com. In addition to a full range of Black Panther toys and apparel from licensees such as Hasbro and Our Universe, they also have some exclusive offerings inspired by the King-turned-Avenger. The crew over at Disney just sent a surprise package to Rock Father HQ that contained a few of them for review - here's some highlights...

Black Panther Figures

BLACK PANTHER Figure Set ($14.95) - We've been big fans of the Disney Store figure sets for a long time. Our youngest daughter is huge into these, and it's become a tradition that with each new Disney/Marvel/Lucasfilm project, we always end up buying the companion figure set. With six non-articulated figurines, this is a quick and affordable way to assemble a collection. The detail is fantastic on these!

Marvel TOYBOX Black Panther Action Figure ($12.95) - The recent launch of the TOYBOX series of action figures has been a welcome one, and this action-packed Black Panther figure bursts into action complete with a pair of vibranium concussive blast accessories. With 14-points of articulation and styling based on the late Disney Infinity, Black Panther can throw down with other toys in the series, which includes characters from Star Wars, Pixar and of course, Marvel.

BLACK PANTHER Glove Set with Battle Sounds ($24.95) - Role play is a huge part of the Marvel experience, and these gloves are a fantastic addition to any dress-up closet. Kids can don the Black Panther's Power Gloves, allowing them to take on their enemies with push-button or motion-activated battle sounds!

BLACK PANTHER Tote Bag ($2.95) - It's hard to get out of Disney Store without picking up a character tote bag, but I've never really thought of them as "stylish" until now! They say you can "prowl the mall" carrying this reusable shopping bag with powerful Black Panther graphic design. Made from 80% recycled materials to help keep the environment active against all odds.

BLACK PANTHER ollows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.

“Black Panther” stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, with Angela Bassett, with Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.

The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and produced by Kevin Feige with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nate Moore, Jeffrey Chernov and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. Ryan Coogler & Joe Robert Cole wrote the screenplay.
