Another tip of the hat to our friends to the north today as Toys "R" Us Canada has officially brought back a classic just in time for the holiday season. Originally written by Linda Kaplan Thaler and James Patterson, "I Don't Want to Grow Up, I'm a Toys 'R' Us Kid" has been a familiar staple since the 80s, and now it's a reminder for all kids big and small that they can still be a Toys 'R' Us kid as TRU Canada is "here to stay and play." The jingle is back in several spots that are airing on television and radio. See a couple of them below...

"We're proud to have brought back our famous Toys"R"Us jingle as it is a profound part of our heritage and brings with it warm nostalgia," says Melanie Teed-Murch, president of Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us Canada, who is also featured in the radio spots.

This past year has been a challenging one for all, but for Toys "R" Us Canada (now a 100% Canadian-owned business), the collapse of TRU in the U.S. and certain countries abroad has led to some customer confusion. To further set themselves apart, the updated logo for Toys "R" Us Canada now features a Canadian maple leaf within the famous 'R'. In just a short period of time, the TRU Canada team has launched efforts to update store concepts and experience, with all signs pointing toward a very bright future for Geoffrey and the crew up there!
