Funko's Pop! Rocks line has been a favorite of mine this past year, and in 2019 we already have an idea of where things are headed. This week, Funko announced their first-ever AC/DC Pop! Vinyl Figure that presents the band's iconic guitarist, Angus Young, ready to rock in his signature schoolboy uniform. Available for pre-order via my friends at Entertainment Earth, the standard figure features a black suit, while randomly-packed Chase editions feature a blue suit with devil horns and an "A" on the hat. Get yours today!

I've always enjoyed the Foo Fighters, but over the past few years I've really started digging them. Something changed in the dynamic, and I can't really peg what - maybe it's just that we're all older now - but everything they've been doing just sounds right to me. Now we have a pairing of two bands that are not only loved by yours truly, but also by The Rock Daughters™. Check out this excellent BBC Radio 1 performance of the Foo Fighters covering the AC/DC classic, "Let There Be Rock."

It's time to step into what my wife calls my "Old Crankypants" mode...

Coachella. The buzzed-about festival that's now spread into a two-weekend affair of duplicate entertainment in the California desert has unveiled their 2015 lineup, and as usual - it's not enough to sell me on a trip out there for it. In fact, the only time I ever truly considered a trip to the Empire Polo Grounds was when FAITH NO MORE made an appearance there back in 2010, but even an appearance by my favorite band of all-time couldn't lure me to the West Coast for a weekend. As this year's announcement rolled out, I heard more than a few folks on the radio say the same thing today "I don't know who these people are, they must be new bands" - aside from the obvious ones, like AC/DC. But if you work in music and truly claim to not know anyone else on the list, I find that very hard to believe since the other headliners include JACK WHITE and DRAKE, and the second-liners have folks like STEELY DAN and FLORENCE + THE MACHINE on there. For me, the problem with Coachella is something that's infected other festivals like our own, now-local Lollapalooza - I personally just don't care about 90% of the lineup. So who actually matters at Coachella 2015? I'll give you my picks below, followed by the full lineup to see what your thoughts are...

It looks like AC/DC may have been playing a goof when the released the ultra-low budget video for "Play Ball" earlier this month, drawing the ire of fans around the Globe. The iconic rockers have just unleashed the proper video for "Rock or Bust," the title track from their forthcoming new album, and the video - like the song itself - is pure, vintage AC/DC. While I've got that embedded here on THE ROCK FATHER for your viewing pleasure, you can stream the entire album right now for free on iTunes First Play

My friends and readers in the UK have hopefully been able to check out some of CARS THAT ROCK with BRIAN JOHNSON as it's been airing Thursdays at 9pm on Quest (Freeview 38, Sky 167, Virgin Media 172), in which the AC/DC frontman gets hands-on with some of the world's finest rides. While CARS THAT ROCK is not yet airing here in the 'States (hopefully it will later this year) the folks connected to the series have been sending me "After Hours" clips - each one focusing on the car line featured in the latest episode.  Tonight, viewers in the UK got a look at BENTLEY... and now we can all check out "After Hours."
