Just a short time ago, I dealt with one of modern parenting's endless challenges: How, and where to safely hang the baby monitor? We faced that challenge twice, and both times it was the same - cautiously working to make sure the wires weren't going to get grabbed by our priceless little girls as they slept in their cribs below. Another Dad, Iowa-based inventor Gerald Beranek, also faced the challenge, but he did something about it: He created the Vusee Universal Baby Monitor Shelf. For the past few months, Gerald and his wife have been selling their patent-pending #MadeInTheUSA design direct through his website, and now they've teamed-up with THE ROCK FATHER to get three (3) lucky readers hooked-up with a Vusee of their own to help keep a safe eye on their own little ones!

I'm still impressed at how far baby products come in such a short period of time. Five years and two kids into this whole "parenting" thing, and the new products out now often trump what my wife and I had for our girls just a few years ago, and one example is the 4moms mamaRoo - an infant seat that blows away typical "bouncers" or "swings" by emulating the motions of real parents - Moms and Dads like YOU. Now, PishPoshBaby has teamed-up with my friends Thrifty Nifty Mommy and Viva Veltoro to get one lucky reader hooked-up with a 4moms mamaRoo of their own - and they've invited THE ROCK FATHER to take part in spreading the word on this great opportunity to win a fantastic prize for your little "new release."

Over the past few years, I've covered a lot of lullaby tributes to popular artists here on THE ROCK FATHER, but tonight is really special as I'm getting to break the news on what is undoubtedly the lullaby album of the year - Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star: LULLABY VERSIONS OF FAITH NO MORE. Set for release on September 16th (pre-order on iTunes), the crew over at Roma Music Group have reworked a dozen FNM classics into nursery-friendly instrumental jams for baby.  This is an exceptionally exciting release for me, as it's my favorite band of all-time getting the lullaby treatment. Check out the lullaby version of "Falling to Pieces" below, right here on THE ROCK FATHER...

While the folks at Roma Music Group already have LULLABY VERSIONS OF SOUNDGARDEN hitting the streets this Tuesday as part of their TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE ROCK STAR line, they've actually got another EP ready for the nursery that I'd overlooked - LULLABY VERSIONS OF BUSH (Amazon | iTunes). Yes, Gavin Rossdale and the gang are getting six of their most popular hits reworked into nursery-friendly jams for baby. Come to think of it, Rossdale's a father of four and his wife was already lullabied back in 2011 with TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE ROCK STAR: LULLABY VERSIONS OF GWEN STEFANI AND NO DOUBT. Preview "Glycerine" below, right here on THE ROCK FATHER...
