Updated with the Official Announcement and game details....

As teased last week, the Call of Duty franchise is returning to its roots this November with the release of CALL OF DUTY: WWII. At today's Worldwide Reveal Livestream (still happening as of this writing), Activision has unleashed the official reveal trailer for Sledgehammer Games' highly-detailed step back into the era of World War II. The team did extensive research for a war that they note still touches families (my own Grandfather served in the 82nd Airborne), and our first taste of that labor can be seen below. Check this out...

It's been rumored for a little while, and today it's official - Call of Duty will return to its World War II roots this fall with Call of Duty: WWII, developed by Sledgehammer Games. Little is known about the game right now, but more intel will be coming during the game’s Worldwide Reveal livestream on Wednesday, April 26 featuring Sledgehammer Games co-studio heads and founders Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield.  Fans will be able to tune in to get a first look at Call of Duty: WWII and get intel on the studio’s vision for the game. Personally, I'm two years behind on my Call of Duty playing, but since I finally have an Xbox One, I'm really looking forward to a return to "Call of Duty Season!"

It's almost November, and that means it's CALL OF DUTY season, folks. It's also my annual reminder that I need to upgrade from the Xbox 360 and jump into the Xbox One realm, as I completely missed-out on last year's COD due to lack of a current-gen system. With Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare hitting the streets on November 4th, the folks at Activision have taken a new approach to their traditional live-action trailer, accounting for the seemingly never-ending stream of contentious headlines that we all deal with day after day, recommending that players head to space and blow off some steam, Call of Duty style! Crank up the GUNS 'N ROSES, and let's go...

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's CALL OF DUTY season. While I don't consider myself much of a gamer these days (casual player, due to time constraints), the one time of the year that I religiously stock-up the office fridge with Mountain Dew Game Fuel and fire-up the Xbox 360 on a heavier-than-average basis is when a new CALL OF DUTY title is released. For 2015, Treyarch and Activision have brought forth CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS III, and it's officially a reason for me to upgrade to the current-generation Xbox One, or a fine title for Playstation 4 users - reason being, the game was developed for the newer systems, so PS3 or Xbox 360 users are only offered a feature-limited version of the game, one devoid of campaign mode. For that reason, THE ROCK FATHER Magazine is serving-up a Holiday Wish Guide Giveaway that will offer readers a shot at winning CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS III in their choice of Xbox One or Playstation 4 editions only, so that players will get the full experience this holiday season! Ready to "Seize Glory?"
