It's time to game for good, and for the sixth year in a row, GameStop has teamed up with Make-A-Wish to help make more wishes come true for children with critical illnesses. Adding even more power to the mix for 2018, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) has joined the collaborative effort to help local kids get back to being kids. So now it's our turn to help make some wishes happen! I invite you to join me, The Rock Father™, in helping to spread the word about this awesome effort. In return, you can earn chances to win a $100 GameStop Gift Card, right here from The Rock Father Magazine! While the entire month of September supports this initiative, Wednesday, September 12 is a very important and special day... in honor of National Video Games Day, GameStop will match its donation to Make-A-Wish when they hit the $10,000 mark on that day only! If you want to pick up some awesome games and help grant wishes at the same time, September 12th is the prime day to do it!

If my calculations are correct, we're just about six days out from the big holiday switch... a time when Halloween is behind us, and we start rolling full-sleigh ahead toward Christmas and the other festive end-of-year events. Each year, there's always a commercial or two that really captures the spirit of the season, and this year we have an early entry from a Christmas staple - Duracell Batteries. As the official battery power of the STAR WARS franchise and the forthcoming ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS Story (out December 16), Duracell is helping to power imaginative play by donating one million batteries to 147 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the U.S. To celebrate, and to encourage others to support the CMN mission, a new commercial has been released from director Simon McQuoid that takes viewers on a mission to deliver a very special Droid, through the minds of children. Check it out...
