On May 5, the latest Netflix Original Series from DreamWorks Animation Television begins streaming with the debut of Spirit Riding Free. Inspired by the Oscar-nominated film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron the trailer for the series has just arrived and looks to enchant a whole new generation. Check it out below...
I don't know that most people expected DreamWorks' Trolls to be as big as it's been, particularly on the spin-off front. With its colorful characters, vibrant world, sing-along soundtrack and positive message, kids have been inspired to create their own Trolls-inspired projects that keep the spirit of "happy" going long after the end credits have rolled. Now, with the film having come home on Digital HD, Blu-ray and DVD, my friends at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment have partnered with a variety of writers and creative types (including yours truly) to come up with some fun projects to do at home. Armed with a box of supplies graciously delivered by the folks at Fox, The Rock Daughters™ and I set out to craft something awesome. Thing is, I realized after we were well underway that I'm just not very good at the whole "crafting" thing, and that there's others out there who have some really impressive project ideas. But, that's actually not what's important - the real importance is in having fun and fostering creativity, no matter how things turn out.
Voltron is an important character around these parts, and after visiting DreamWorks Animation last year for a pre-debut first-hand look at what they were cooking up for Voltron: Legendary Defender, I was hooked on the new series. Now, DreamWorks Animation Television and Netflix have unleashed the proper trailer for season two, which begins streaming new episodes on Netflix on January 20th, picking up right where the cliffhanger of season one left off...
When it comes to classic holiday specials, you can't get much more "classic" than the old Rankin/Bass specials of the 60s and 70s - ones like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus is Comin' to Town - tales that are now passed along from generation to generation. Collectively known as the "Original Christmas Classics," several of these stories are out on Digital HD (iTunes) for the very first time through DreamWorks Classics (Classic Media), along with an Original Christmas Classics Anniversary Edition Blu-ray Collection. In celebration of the season, DreamWorks Classics and THE ROCK FATHER Magazine are giving you a chance to win the Blu-ray set so that you can share the tradition with your family.
The third season of DreamWorks Animation's Dinotrux made its debut on Netflix this month, and as more families discover the adventures of Ty Rux and the crew, the demand for off-screen activities is growning. With Halloween weekend almost here, lots of families will be carving pumpkins, and those looking to put a Mechazoic spin on things need look no further than a set of FREE PRINTABLE Pumpkin Stencils that the crew over at DreamWorks have whipped-up! How about some Dinotrux and Reptools on your porch to greet the Trick-or-Treaters this weekend?
On November 4, the colorful world of Troll Village will come to the big screen when DreamWorks Animation's "Trolls" opens in theaters nationwide. As the official Paint, Hardware & Home Improvement sponsor of the film, True Value developed a 24-color paint palette inspired by the inhabitants of Troll Village. True Value selected 8 of the main characters and developed a 3-color palette for each character. In addition to the paint, True Value developed a Trolls paint tray kit that has 5 custom Trolls character stencils, stencil brush, roller and roller cover to "Trollify" any room - all available exclusively at your locally-owned True Value hardware stores or on TrueValue.com (where you can find all kinds of fun project inspiration as well). Now, THE ROCK FATHER Magazine is teaming-up with 20th Century Fox, DreamWorks and True Value to give readers a shot at winning a fun Trolls Prize Pack!
