We're just a few months out from the Christmas release of Paramount Pictures' new Bumbleebee film, and now Hasbro is gearing up to start rolling out the companion toys. A sizable assortment of Transformers just went up for pre-order via my friends at Entertainment Earth and among the new items are the following from the new Bumblebee line.  While the traditional transforming action figures are the core of the collection, Hasbro continues to emphasize role play, large-scale feature figures and their Vision AR line that first surfaced as an Iron Man helmet during the product launch for Avengers: Infinity War. Check out the new toys below, and note the character names alongside their pre-production code names (used to prevent potential spoilers during the pre-announcement stages). See a full gallery of photos on The Rock Father™ Facebook Page, and get all of the details below...

For those wondering why Ellie Sattler wasn't released during the first wave of vintage-styled Jurassic Park Pop! Vinyls from Funko, she's finally rolling in! As the latest release in the Funko Pop! Rides series, the Jurassic Park Jeep with Ellie Sattler just went up for pre-order today via my friends at Entertainment Earth. Following the release of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi Vice Admiral Holdo Pop!, I do believe that this is the second time that a character portrayed by Laura Dern has been given the vinyl treatment.

Some of my favorite Funko Pop! Vinyl figures and bobbleheads are those with a holiday spin. In fact, their Christmas-themed Baby Groot did really well a couple of years back... to the point where it's getting an update for 2018, being issued alongside a whole new batch of Marvel Holiday Pops and Pint Size Heroes. Hulk, Spider-Man and Deadpool are among those in on the action, and my friends and affiliates at Entertainment Earth have all of them up for pre-order. Check 'em out...

There's quite a bit of savage news out of Funko lately, and the latest is seasonally-perfect. On the heels of their Savage World Thundercats announcement comes an assortment of action figures that reimagines some of the biggest icons of horror in an unexpected way - buffed-up and ready for battle! The Horror Savage World collection will launch with Freddy Krueger from ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’, Jason Voorhees from ‘Friday the 13th’Leatherface from 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'Michael Myers from 'Halloween' and Pinhead from 'Hellraiser' - each presented in the muscular 5.5" action figure style that was made famous by Mattel's Masters of the Universe line back in the 1980s. As Funko points out, these horror villains are "ready to haunt your dreams and chase you down." If you want these in time for this Halloween, get your pre-orders in via my affiliate, Entertainment Earth!

At Toy Fair in New York this past February, one of the interesting things spotted in Funko's massive booth was their line of Savage World action figures. These 5.5" figures are familiar in shape and stature to anyone who played with Masters of the Universe toys back in the 80s, or the REMCO toys that "borrowed" the distinct body style of Mattel's more famous collection. Among the prototypes were some familiar characters that were being sculpted in the style of perhaps their greatest enemies of the era... former competitors in the action figure aisle. Thundercats have been officially brought into the Savage World, and if the He-Man influence isn't obvious enough, just check out the environment being used to display these figures - that's a tweaked and re-painted Evil Horde Fright Zone playset (which I used to have!)... a lair that used to be home to Hordak! The first wave is coming, and my affiliates at Entertainment Earth have the figures available for pre-order...

When it comes to the modern era of holiday music, Mariah Carey's 1994 hit "All I Want for Christmas is You" is about as close to a "standard" as you can get. It's become a staple that also hit the mark of the most-downloaded holiday single, and like all the songbook standards, it's been covered by a host of artists including Michael Bublé, Bowling for Soup, Lindsey Stirling and Idina Menzel among many others. It's also inspired a film and the success of the song led to further holiday albums in recent years. Now Carey is getting the Funko treatment, coming to life as a part of the Pop! Rocks line and her first figure is based upon her look on the cover of the album that spawned the hit - Mariah Carey - Merry Christmas. The Mariah Carey Funko Pop! Vinyl figure is available now via my affiliate, Entertainment Earth.
