I've written a surprising amount about Strawberry Shortcake here on THE ROCK FATHER Magazine over the years (18 articles by current count) - one of the timeless pop culture properties that I grew up on and played with alongside my sister, and now enjoy with The Rock Daughters™. My friends at Entertainment Earth have just sent over details on the first-ever scented Funko Pop! Vinyls, and they're appropriately from the world of Strawberry Shortcake & Friends, borrowing from the classic styling of the original characters from the 1980s. The first wave includes Strawberry Shortcake and Custard, Blueberry Muffin and Cheesecake, Orange Blossom and Marmalade and Lemon Meringue and Frappe. They're expected to ship this September. Check 'em out...

He was only on screen for a brief glimpse into his underwater lair, but Jason Momoa's Aquaman was for many a highlight cameo in this year's BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. Set for a greater appearance in the currently-filming two-part JUSTICE LEAGUE (out next year from Warner Bros. Pictures) before going solo in 2018, the fan-favorite from the world of DC Comics has already received the Funko Pop! Vinyl treatment in a couple of variations, but this summer one of the coolest is coming to market as an Entertainment Earth Exclusive to debut at SDCC! My friends at EE have partnered with THE ROCK FATHER Magazine for an exclusive reveal of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Aquaman Patina Pop! Vinyl Figure - Entertainment Earth Convention Exclusive* that's splashing out of the ocean and into your collection!

Last week, news hit the web that the folks over at MEZCO Toyz would be releasing a 1:12-scale Space Ghost figure as part of their One:12 Collective Line, a collection of highly-articulated and detailed figures that come with costumes made of real cloth, and an abundance of interchangeable accessories.  Having enjoyed Space Ghost over the years, from the USA Cartoon Express airings of Hanna-Barbera classics in the 80s right through SPACE GHOST COAST TO COAST in the 90s & 00s (somewhere I have an autographed picture of George Lowe), I've followed his adventures, and each Holiday season our Xmas tree is adorned with a Hallmark Keepsake Ornament of Space Ghost in all of his glory. MEZCO's new figure indeed piqued my interest, but today I get to share some news that takes that figure a step further - word that my friends at Entertainment Earth will be offering an Exclusive Glow-in-the-Dark Edition One:12 Collective Space Ghost! This figure comes with an also-glow-in-the-dark Blip the Monkey and is up for pre-order now. Check out all the details...

Back in January, my friends at Entertainment Earth and I gave readers of THE ROCK FATHER Magazine a first-look at the Fantasy Figure Gallery DC Comics Collection Wonder Woman Variant Resin Statue, an Entertainment Earth Exclusive by Yamato USA. This beautiful collectible places the iconic sword and shield into the hands of the Amazonian Princess, presenting her in a battle-ready pose complete with exclusive outfit deco. With the statue since released in an ultra-limited run of just 500 pieces worldwide, now comes to time to do something extra-special... we're gonna give one away!

As audiences gear-up for a new version of GHOSTBUSTERS this summer, the folks over at Diamond Select Toys are continuing to release some fantastic action figures based on the classic, 1984 film. At the center of their collection are the highly-articulated 7" action figures, each released in waves of three, the second of which hits stores this week. In all, there will be 15 figures released, and those who purchase the "Select" versions (in the larger, specialty market-exclusive packaging, with spine artwork) will be able to complete a full rooftop diorama that represents the climax of the original film. Check out a preview of what's out now, along with a checklist of the five series' of figures headed your way in the year ahead. And if you're looking forward to the new GHOSTBUSTERS, Diamond Select will be issuing minimates, vehicles, and kitchenware based on that film later this summer.

Entertainment EarthOn April 1, 1996, Entertainment Earth launched with a small office, a garage, and a website. The idea back then was to give collectors a one-stop shop for what was then a new thing - Hasbro's Kenner STAR WARS Power of The Force action figures. That's exactly when I jumped into STAR WARS collecting hardcore. The weird thing now is that in 1996, RETURN OF THE JEDI was just 13 years old, and the "vintage" STAR WARS figures had only been off the market for about 11. To think that we're now 20 years past that relaunch of STAR WARS, and 33 years past ROTJ... well, it just makes me feel old. But, as times have changed, Entertainment Earth has grown to a massive operation, and while they're still a great source for toys from STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, they're now keyed-into just about any kind of toys and collectibles that any entertainment or pop culture lover could want. Check out the cool history video they've put together...
