Shhhh! A couple of weeks back, I paid a visit to Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, California for an early look at Ralph Breaks the Internet. Unfortunately, as of this writing everything I saw is under embargo - which means I can't tell you about anything... yet. But the long-awaited sequel will be hitting theaters in November, and today comes a fresh look at a new character and a new environment from the film - officially unveiled, so we can talk about that. In a new sneak-peek, audiences get their first look at Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) as the voice of Shank, the tough and talented driver in an intense online racing game called Slaughter Race. Of course there's also a new look at the Disney Princesses, too. Check this out...

Oh, do I know that look... the one around 22-seconds into the "Official Origin Trailer" for Warner Bros.' forthcoming Wonder Woman. It's the look of a little girl with a certain streak... a little bit mischievous, and certainly adventurous. Wonder Woman is en route to theaters on June 2, and it's already secured a spot on our most-anticipated list here at Rock Father HQ - an entry in what's shaping up to be a massive year at the movies. That funky guitar lick gets me every time - the one first heard when Gal Gadot burst onto the scene in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice to help Clark and Bruce take down a mighty foe. Now it's back once more in the second trailer for next year's Wonder Woman, hitting theaters screens on June 2, 2017 via Warner Bros. Pictures from director Patty Jenks. If you dug the first trailer, you're going to love the new one - a more detailed look at Diana Prince making her way into the mortal world and heading for war. Check it out...

Power. Grace. Wisdom. Wonder. We have waited far too long for a WONDER WOMAN movie, but next year that wait comes to an end. Just-unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con, the first trailer for Warner Bros.' WONDER WOMAN is stellar - it quite literally gave me goosebumps... twice. If you've seen BATMAN v. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, you may recall the groovy music that signaled Wonder Woman's official entry into the DC Extended Universe, and that theme is here. From director Patty Jenkins, WONDER WOMAN starring Gal Gadot, blazes into theaters on June 2, 2017. Take a look at the trailer below!

There was a question posited many years ago, back when Jack Nicholson was the first actor to play The Joker in a modern cinematic Batman film... "Where does he get those wonderful toys?" He was speaking, of course, of Batman's impressive arsenal of gadgets and weaponry, all shown in-action as tools of Michael Keaton's portrayal of The Caped Crusader in Tim Burton's 1989 film. While Zack Snyder's current BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE is divisive (I loved it - read my review here), one point that I always feel is important to note is that what makes these DC Comics characters truly timeless and classic is that they work in many different incarnations across many different media. While it's my opinion that BVS is not a movie for small children (it's a harder-edged PG-13), that hardly means that kids are left out - quite the contrary when it comes to the wide assortment of toys that are available. Leading the charge this year is Mattel, who have brought Batman and Superman back into toy aisles in a massive form, and at the centerpiece of their BVS line is the collection of 6" action figures and vehicles, several of which were sent to Rock Father HQ for review. Over the past month, something has become quite clear - and that's that The Rock Daughters have incorporated these new versions of these iconic characters into part of every day imaginative play - something massively important... old-school, hands-on, tech-free fun!
