Updated 5/21/2018 - Hopefully you were there for GameStop's most recent Pro Day Event, which took place on May 19 - another momentous occasion for Pros to buy games, gear, accessories, collectibles and more for super-low prices that are even lower than the low prices that they enjoy every day. You could say that Pro Day offers "heroic savings" during a single epic one-day event, and if the folks at GameStop were to go any lower they'd risk fracturing Earth's tectonic lithosphere plates. If you missed it, fear not! This is a perfect opportunity to become a PowerUp Rewards Pro or Elite Member and then keep an eye on the Pro Day site for when the next one will go down. In the meantime, The Rock Father™ and GameStop are teaming-up like Mario and Luigi to give YOU a chance to score a PowerUp Prize Pack right here! It's a chance to gear-up for summer with a sampling of items from some of the awesome companies that make Pro Day happen with brands you love like PDP Gaming, Funko, PowerA, Gunner Optiks and more. After a surprise announcement and months of hype, Nintendo Labo has finally arrived. This new system links the physical and digital realms of the Nintendo Switch in ways that most would've never imagined, allowing players to "make, play and discover." It's such a unique experience, it's somewhat hard to describe without actually playing it, and I had a chance to do just that during an hour-and-a-half session behind closed doors with Nintendo at the 115th North American International Toy Fair back in February. But there's also a lot to be gained by watching others and seeing what their creations are all about, and for launch Nintendo has teamed-up with a guy that knows a bit about labs... Bill Nye. Check out the video below to see what The Science Guy whips up, then get creative and start sharing your own ideas

As the Nintendo Switch enters its second year, families have been eager to see what's coming next. While we know that there's a hefty slate of new games on the horizon, one unexpected addition to the lineup will arrive on April 20, 2018 with the debut of Nintendo Labo, a new line of interactive build-and-play experiences "designed to inspire kids and those who are kids-at-heart." Having visited Nintendo HQ myself (twice), I've seen the archives of where Nintendo has been as a company, and they're touting this as being something that's  "building on the 129-year history of Nintendo, which is rooted in innovative entertainment and game-play experiences." I can see that, because Nintendo has never been afraid to smash the boundaries when it comes to their systems and controllers. Get ready to watch a little video and take a look at this...

Milestone, one of the leading racing game developers in the world, has just issued a new look behind the scenes of Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame with a brand-new trailer. The game brings the excitement of Supercross to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC/STEAM on February 13, with a launch on Nintendo Switch shortly thereafter. The new developer's diary is led by Ralph Sheheen, the official voice of Feld Motorsports' Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, and it showcases the four rules behind the creation of its visuals. According to Nintendo, the Switch has become the fastest-selling game console in U.S. history. I can't say I'm surprised, as we absolutely love our Switch. That said, the one thing I don't love about it is the price of official accessories, and I was completely upfront with Nintendo about that when The Rock Daughters™ and I paid a visit to Nintendo of America's Headquarters in Redmond, Washington this past November. I think $80 for a pair of Joy-Cons for a $299 console skews toward the unusually high-priced, but if that's all that's available, consumers will no doubt pay it. I do love the color combinations available, and while I was at Nintendo HQ, I picked up a Splatoon 2 themed version of their Pro Controller, but until now, matching Joy-Cons were only available as part of a Splatoon 2 Bundle Pack, or sold on sites like Amazon by third-party sellers bringing them in as a Japanese Import. Now they're getting an official release, and my friends at GameStop have already got them up on pre-order with an anticipated release date of January 15! Check out the Neon Green and Neon Pink Joy-Cons...
