As the final countdown continues leading up to the April 2 end of ROCK BAND DLC after an impressive run of more than five years, there's a few more songs yet to hit the platform. This Tuesday brings a pair of hits from the 1980s, with the OINGO BOINGO classic "Weird Science" along with the cheesy TOTO hit "Rosanna" coming to the platform. Full details below...

If you're like me, there's a solid chance that you've been raising your little ones right - peppering their modern-day pop culture with a sprinkling of retro-cool goodness. A quick glance at The Rock Father homepage will usually reveal at least one 2013 representation of something from my own childhood. How many times have I mentioned KNIGHT RIDER on this site? The show has been mentioned in at least 13 articles so far (14 counting this one), and my 3½-year-old loves it. Now comes a pair of toys that every child of the 80s who is now a parent themselves needs to own (for their kids, of course).

The floodgates are really open for merchandise based on the classic, 1966 BATMAN television series now that the rights have been released and assigned to licensors. NECA has a nice piece coming out soon, and the assortment of action figures coming to MattyCollector looks phenomenal. Now comes the BARBIE COLLECTOR DOLLS for BATMAN and CATWOMAN. Both went up for pre-order today at Entertainment Earth, and full details can be found below.

Times may change, but over the past sixty years, one constant has been the presence of MATCHBOX cars and toys, both on store shelves (and pegs), and in the homes of families everywhere. While the line has seen some ups-and-downs since it's launch in 1953, six decades of MATCHBOX memories have been created for parents and kids alike.

It's a video that's been floating around for a couple of years now (33K+ plays on YouTube thus far), but one that deserves to be shared some more. Take two of my favorite bands - THE AQUABATS! and THE ROCK-AFIRE EXPLOSION - and put them together. What happens? Well, if you haven't seen it already, you just need to watch the video below, then... don't you?

Can Diamond Select do anything wrong? I'd have to say "no," as everything I'm seeing come out of there lately is pretty fantastic. With a habit of coming up with new toys perfect for 30-something parents like me to introduce some old-school things to our kids (KNIGHT RIDER), Diamond Select often hits my sweet spot. A MARVEL Minimates STRANGE TALES Box Set? Perfect, and it's coming soon. Featuring Dr. Strange, First Appearance Blade, Werewolf by Night and Morbius the Living Vampire, photos can be found below...
