No matter what you believe, I think it's safe to say that this is another story where the public will never know the whole truth. Earlier today, Kevin Clash, the man who has been the voice and performer behind Elmo on SESAME STREET for over two decades, officially resigned. This comes following a tumultuous month that began with allegations of an inappropriate relationship with an underage boy - allegations later retracted, and now being disputed once more. Now a second person has stepped forward with accusations, and both Sesame Workshop and Kevin Clash have issued new statements.

I've been debating all morning as to whether to discuss this here on The Rock Father or not, but since Sesame Workshop has issued a formal statement, I can't really avoid it. If you haven't heard, Kevin Clash, the Emmy-winning puppeteer and voice behind Elmo, has taken a leave of absence from SESAME STREET in the wake of allegations that he had an inappropriate relationship with an underage boy.

Lots of news today - THE KILLERS have a new record out on September 18th (it's called BATTLE BORN); the remaining members of RUN-DMC are reuniting at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin this November; and CARLY RAE JEPSEN's 'Call Me Maybe' has been deemed the most-streamed song of the year with 54.5 million streaming plays. Speaking of Miss Jepsen, COOKIE MONSTER released a new music video today, and coincidentally, it spoofs 'Maybe as SESAME STREET: SHARE IT MAYBE. What's it about? Well, cookies, of course. Watch it.

Originally released last year as a TARGET exclusive, Sesame Street: Singing With the Stars hits the streets this week for non-exclusive wide-release. Since we've had this one here at Rock Father HQ for awhile, this is a perfect opportunity to throw down some virtual ink on the subject.
