TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION is rolling out to theaters this summer, but over at Sideshow Collectibles, they're paying tribute to Optimus Prime as he appeared in TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON. The Museum Masterline Series Optimus Prime statue by Japan's Prime 1 Studios features interchangeable weapons and heads, LED light features, a cool base and more. But it's nearly $2,300.00 and limited to just 2000 pieces that are expected to ship in January of 2015. Still interested?

Back when I was a kid, STAR WARS was my main thing for a great many years. I was DARTH VADER for Halloween three years running ('82-'84 maybe?), and my collection of Kenner STAR WARS toys was impressive. While my original collection was sold somewhere around 1988 (which still sucks), I do have one of the vintage 3 3/4 inch Stormtroopers among a small collection that I've re-acquired and have displayed in my office. But for those that want something about 19.2 times larger, the crew at Gentle Giant have the answer... with a life-sized, 6' version of the original action figure. Weird? Yes. But we're talking about a life-size version of a toy that was a miniature version of something that was life-size. Check this out...

First off: I was not aware that Disney Interactive and Capcom had released DUCKTALES: REMASTERED (a modern re-do of the old NES game), and I'm saddened that I'm just finding out about it now, but glad to have gained this knowledge. Second: Disney emailed me last night with a link to the OH MY DISNEY blog, on which they've revealed a collection of DuckTales-inspired posters from the folks at Mondo (who always make great stuff). The kicker? They'll be going on-sale sometime TODAY (August 28, 2013), so if you want one, you have to act fast. Mondo posters tend to sell-out ridiculously fast. Check out some of the posters and some DuckTales: Remastered Videos below...

What's the plural of "Mogwai?" Is it Mogwais... or is it like LEGO and just Mogwai? Regardless, the folks over at NECA have revealed a new batch of their popular, 7" Mogwai action figures based on GREMLINS. For this round, the NECA team dug deep into the archives for concept Mogwai(s) that were crafted by FX legend RICK BAKER (STAR WARS, AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON) for the production of 1990's GREMLINS 2: THE NEW BATCH. Get ready to meet Brownie, Doodah, and Penny...

At the just-opened E3, Microsoft announced the full details on the much anticipated XBOX ONE, which will arrive for gamers this November. Pre-orders for the Xbox One went live today at Microsoftstore.com and Walmart.com with Exclusive Day One Bundles available. Each Xbox One system sold will include the new Xbox One console — which features a 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray player and built-in Wi-Fi — the new Kinect, one Xbox One Wireless Controller and a free 14-day trial of Xbox Live Gold for new members. The Xbox One launch bundle will be available for $499.99.

This isn't quite breaking news as it's been out there for a few days, but I wanted to share a couple new products from NECA Toys on here that caught my eye. As a child of the 80s, ROBOCOP and GREMLINS are a pair of franchises that hold a warm place in my heart. While 'Cop will be some years off, I'm looking forward to the day that I get to share GREMLINS with my daughters for the first time. So how about some toys?
