It's go time! With Disney•Pixar’s Cars 3 racing into theaters this weekend, the folks at Disney Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have officially released Cars 3: Driven to Win for the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch™ and Wii U™.  Developed by Avalanche Software, Cars 3: Driven to Win "provides an entirely new interactive experience that is thrilling to play alone or with friends and family." Players can race as Lightning McQueen, Cruz Ramirez, Jackson Storm and other beloved characters while mastering the tricks, skills and combat techniques needed to become the Ultimate Champion. That's the basic gist of LEGO DIMENSIONS (out September 27), a new offering from LEGO and Warner Bros. that brings a brick-based spin on the toys-meet-games genre that was pioneered by SKYLANDERS and expanded upon by DISNEY INFINITY. Today's official announcement of LEGO Dimensions ends days of speculation fueled by LEGO's #BreakTheRules social media campaign that had fans guessing... and in many cases, going down the wrong rabbit hole. On October 14, 2014, Warner Bros. Games will release BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT (Pre-order: Amazon | GameStop), the finale to their Arkham Trilogy. While the game was just officially announced today and details are scarce, the Next Gen-only title will arrive for PC, XBOX One, and PLAYSTATION 4. I guess this means I finally need to get an XBOX One (I'm still on the XBOX 360), as this game looks fantastic. The Rocksteady crew have certainly taken some of that Christopher Nolan-influence and run with it, and their driveable BATMOBILE is one mean ride.
