On November 12, DreamWorks Animation's TURBO will speed onto Blu-Ray and DVD just in-time for the holidays. It's a great gift idea (perfect stocking stuffer), and to celebrate the release, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and The Rock Father are getting one lucky reader hooked up with a copy of the brand-new Blu-ray. But first, let's start with some fun facts about snails...

Today marks the official start of the Holiday Season here at Rock Father HQ, and thanks to my friends at Step2, we're getting off to a massive start. What would you do with a $1,000 Step2 Shopping Spree?  I know exactly what I'd start with - the 2013 Pink Corvette Toddler to Twin Bed for Addie, and the Pedal Farm Tractor and Trailer for Finley. But how about for you? A play kitchenwagonclimber and playhouse? How about a backyard climber and patio furniture? How about, a swing set? There's so many possibilities to ponder, and one lucky reader is going to have their wish granted. Step2 has teamed-up with The Rock Father and some of your favorite parenting blogs to make it happen. Now through November 26, you have a shot at a $1000 Shopping Spree on Step2.com!

Watch: Full Trailer for The LEGO Movie...

Written by

It's BATMAN, SUPERMAN, WONDER WOMAN, and the GREEN LANTERN together on the big screen for the very first time. It's ABRAHAM LINCOLN, GOD, the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, ROBIN HOOD, THE STATUE OF LIBERTY, a GHOST, and HAN SOLO, coming together for one very special adventure. Yes, Warner Bros. built The LEGO Movie, and the first full-length trailer has arrived. Check it out below...

For Day 30 of 31 Days of Halloween 2013 here on The Rock Father, we have... a repeat entry from 2012? Indeed we do, as IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN makes it back into my annual celebration of the Halloween Season. Airing tomorrow, Halloween night at 8|7c on ABC, as I said last year, there has never been, nor will there ever be, another Halloween special as timeless as the 1966 classic featuring The Peanuts Gang. If you don't already have it on DVD or Blu-Ray (or maybe, even if you do), there's just something really special about sitting down as a family and watching it on live television. In the meantime, here's a couple of clips...

Now this is a tough one. I have these four friends from New York City - Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael and Donatello - that I met for the first time back in the late 80s. We've had some good times, some great adventures, and yes, we shared more pizza than we probably should have. Problem is, they sorta went away for a little bit, making a retreat back into the shadows only to emerge every few years for another big adventure, often facing off against the same metal-faced samurai over-and-over-again. You see, they're ninjas... and they're turtles. Now they've got another adventure, and they need our help. They're trying to get into the NATIONAL TOY HALL OF FAME.

75 Years ago, "The Panic Broadcast" took place. It was then that a 23-year-old ORSON WELLES performed THE WAR OF THE WORLDS, a radio drama broadcast as part of THE MERCURY THEATRE ON AIR. Based on H.G. Wells' 1898 novel of the same name, Welles and his crew managed to cause panic across America as unknowing listeners began to believe that aliens had really descended upon the small town of Grovers Mill, New Jersey. For Day 29 of 31 Days of Halloween here on The Rock Father, I'm featuring PBS AMERICAN EXPERIENCE: WAR OF THE WORLDS, which premieres tonight on PBS. Check out a preview below...
