Fifty years later, Destroyer still looks as good as it sounds.
Dixxon Flannel Co. has teamed with KISS to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the band’s landmark 1976 album with a limited-edition flannel and hoodie inspired by its instantly recognizable artwork.
The KISS x Dixxon Destroyer Flannel takes the album cover’s purple-and-gold palette and turns it into a plaid pattern over a black base. Details run deep, with Destroyer artwork appearing on the sticker tag and the KISS logo worked into the pocket, buttons, and Dixxon’s signature interior lens cloth.
A companion hoodie puts its own spin on the cover art, replacing the KISS logo above the band with Dixxon.

Released in 1976, Destroyer became KISS’ fourth studio album and helped push the band deeper into the mainstream. The record spawned enduring staples including “Detroit Rock City,” “Beth,” and “Shout It Out Loud,” while its Ken Kelly-painted cover became one of rock’s defining pieces of album art.
The new collection dropped this morning in what Dixxon calls a one-time, super-limited release. The flannel is priced at $59.99 in men’s and women’s sizes, while the youth edition runs $29.99.
Full Disclosure: I’m a huge Dixxon fan, and if you’ve ever seen me in one of the hundreds of TV appearances I’ve made for my main gig with The Toy Book, The Toy Insider, and The Pop Insider, there’s a solid chance you’ve seen me wearing Dixxon.
