This November, interactive learning company Tiggly will follow-up their award-winning Tiggly Shapes with the release of Tiggly Counts - "a revolutionary new way for kids to learn math." Inspired by the cuisenaire rods used in Montessori education, Tiggly Counts includes a set of five colorful counting Toys that interact with three parent-and-educator‐approved Tiggly iPad learning apps. The combination of physical and digital play helps children develop their number sense, counting skills, and understanding of math operations, such as addition and subtraction. While the set won't be available until next month, Tiggly has teamed-up with THE ROCK FATHER to offer readers a chance to win a Tiggly Counts set of their own, and offer 30% off the normal price of $29.95 for those wishing to pre-order. Curious what more Tiggly has to offer? Check out the specs and enter to win below!

I'm an original STAR WARS fan. My relationship with George Lucas' saga dates back to my earliest days, fueling my childhood and helping to shape me into adulthood. I've worked on a movie about STAR WARS... recorded a song about STAR WARS... and at one point, had an entire room full of STAR WARS toys. I wish I'd never sold them, as I'm now a parent, and the next generation of STAR WARS fans is here. While many feared that the prequel trilogy would be STAR WARS for future audiences, the franchise is officially back on-track under the ownership of Disney, and while old folks like me eagerly await the 2015 release of J.J. Abrams' STAR WARS: EPISODE VII, the newly-launched STAR WARS REBELS proves that our beloved saga is in good hands. After seeing an early screening of STAR WARS REBELS: SPARK OF REBELLION ahead of it's recent Disney Channel Premiere, I'm confident that this is my daughter's STAR WARS. And now, we've got it on DVD thanks to an Exclusive early release at Walmart.

"Which house will have the best #Treats4All this year?" Well, Rock Father HQ is looking pretty good right about now. In fact, it's become sort of a tradition here to break out the treats just for our family for a little pre-Halloween cheer, and that was the case this weekend as we got our Fall and Halloween decor going up in full-effect. I'm always playing with new ideas, and as much as I'd love to do "scary," we tend to end up leaning "cute" to welcome Trick or Treaters to our home each October. Come that glorious day (which is actually taking place on October 26 in our party-pooping town), all the little ghosts and ghouls will get a chance to score some good candy like Butterfinger, Nestle Crunch and Baby Ruth.
We see a lot of toys come in for evaluation here in The Rock Father's State-of-the-Art Toy Testing Facility (our house), and while many get the Rock Father Seal of Approval, it's a rare occasion when a toy gets a unanimous approval rating straight across the board, with not only myself and The Rock Daughters on-board, but my wife as well. The all-new Zoomer Dino by Spin Master is one such toy, easily securing it's place as an early entry to my 2014 Holiday Gift Guide. Check out our hands-on, in-action video below!

Superheroes are part of daily life here at Rock Father HQ. Most of you know that by now, but I live it daily, when my girls break out their Spider-man (which you will be corrected to acknowledge as "Spider-GIRL") or Rocket Racoon masks for an adventure in the yard, or when Iron Man and Captain America spend some time having tea with Rapunzel and Ariel in the Disney Princess Castle. Not long ago, I saw the Iron Patriot chilling out with Boba Fett on the sun deck of the Barbie Dream House, kicking back, completely lounging in a pair of purple adirondack chairs. What can I say? It happens, so when Elsa and Anna show up, the adventure is just beginning. I'm big on imaginative play, tending to go light on the "screens" and big on the physical realm, which is why I've always been intrigued by the Disney Infinity Games - an open-ended platform that manages to merge to physical and the virtual. It's actually the first video game that I've ever let my girls play.

When we last checked-in from the garage here at Rock Father HQ, my oldest daughter and I were getting our cars clean after some summer travel that delivered thousands of miles worth of road grime. Now comes prep for Fall (and dare I say it, winter), and now is the prime time to take a look at some basic maintenance - especially for those with older cars, like the 2005 Scion xB that I still rock daily, about 160,000 miles into it's life. One of the most important systems to keep an eye on is the fuel system, and using Gumout All-In-One® Complete Fuel System Cleaner Ethanol Treatment and Friction Modifier is one inexpensive and easy way to improve your car's performance, while cutting down on some of the nasty stuff that can build up in the engine.
