I haven’t been this excited about a rhythm game since the heyday of the original Rock Band, and last week the Stage Tour setlist just got a little louder.
The upcoming rhythm-action game (pre-order on Amazon) has added three songs through a new collaboration with Earache Records, bringing the number of confirmed tracks to 51 as developers continue pulling back the curtain on a soundtrack that will eventually span more than 90 licensed songs and six decades of music.
Joining the lineup are “Do Me a Favor” by THE BITES, “Limbo Man” by THE DUST CODA, and “Raised on Rock N Roll” by THE KARMA EFFECT.
The latest reveal leans straight into the harder side of the Stage Tour library. All three bands have landed albums in the U.K. Top 40 in recent years, while THE BITES have also cracked Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.
The timing is particularly strong for THE BITES, whose sophomore album arrived on Friday. THE KARMA EFFECT released its latest album in May, making “Raised on Rock N Roll” another fresh track.
Launching Dec. 10, Stage Tour is built around the idea of creating a band and taking it on the road. Players can tackle songs on Lead Guitar, Groove Guitar/Bass, Drums, Vocals, PC Keyboard, or gamepad, with 4-Lane and 5-Lane Arcade modes also available.
Difficulty settings range from Easy through Expert, with Expert Plus available for drums.
The game will also feature more than 180 authentic Gibson, Epiphone, and Kramer guitars, along with more than 50 potential bandmates and an official Stage Tour hardware lineup.
The full soundtrack remains under wraps, but the confirmed list already jumps from METALLICA, MEGADETH, MÖTLEY CRÜE, and SLIPKNOT to AVRIL LAVIGNE, OLIVIA RODRIGO, BLUR, PARAMORE, STATIC-X, SABATON, and plenty of strange bedfellows in between.
Another setlist reveal is scheduled for Sept. 23.
