31 Days of Halloween: Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins

This article is more than 13 years old and may not have been updated since our last site redesign. It may contain outdated information, broken links, or could be missing images and/or attribution.

They say that “there’s no wrong way to eat a REESE’S,” and hopefully that’s the case, because I’ve eaten them just about every way possible. In a car… in a bar… in boat… with a goat, they’re like Green Eggs and Ham, and I would eat them with Sam I Am. Yes, I’m a sucker for REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups, and it looks like my oldest daughter must’ve gotten the gene, as she was recently caught using a chair to reach a bag tucked on a high shelf in our refrigerator. Keep in mind, she’s 3. My point with this? When it comes to Halloween Candy, nothing hits the spot like REESE’S Peanut Butter Pumpkins.

reeses1We’ve munched a bag of these already, and provided I can sneak them by my wife, I might grab another while they’re still in-season. In fact, I may just have to create a stockpile for all the trick-or-treaters that will be rolling through the neighborhood later this month. If the children have been properly taught, they’ll know that receiving a Peanut Butter Pumpkin is like having chocolate gold bestowed upon them.

For the other folks that are equally REESE’S-obsessed, Hershey’s is now taking pre-orders for “Fresh From the Factory” REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups. To be more specific, two and a half pounds of the snack-size delights. It might seem a little extreme, but it sure is tempting.
