After absolutely falling in love with the CARE BEARS upon the release of their latest series, WELCOME TO CARE-A-LOT (currently airing Saturday mornings on The Hub), my daughter soon demanded “more Care Bears.” Dipping into the archives here at Rock Father HQ, I introduced her to the ‘Bears that I grew up with via 1985’s THE CARE BEAR MOVIE. Though the difference in animation and storytelling is drastically different, my little one found herself equally enthalled with what she now calls “80’s Care Bears.” On October 9th, that world is going to crack wide open.
To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the popular characters from American Greetings, Lionsgate will release CARE BEARS: THE ORIGINAL SERIES COLLECTION, a limited-editon, 6-disc DVD set, featuring 64 episodes and a full-length movie.
