March Madness just signaled the return of a legendary debate.
Miller Lite rekindles the legendary Great Taste, Less Filling debate with a fresh roster of celebrity All Stars in a modern take on the iconic dispute from 1975. This year, Luke Wilson, J.J. Watt, David Ortiz, Jorge Posada, Reggie Miller, and Mia Hamm are getting in on the action.
In the debut ad “Destiny,” J.J. Watt makes a comeback to join the Miller Lite All Stars, reigniting the age-old argument. Following this, Watt and fellow retirees engage in a series of spin-off ads, echoing the original beloved campaign that captivated beer enthusiasts nationwide for decades. Check out the full-length version of “Destiny” below!
“Growing up, I watched the biggest names in sports battle it out in the iconic debate of what makes Miller Lite so great, could it be that it Tastes Great? Or is it that it’s Less Filling?,” asks Watt, former pro-football player and Miller Lite All Star. “I’ve always been team Less Filling, and that won’t change, but to have the opportunity to work with Miller Lite to officially reignite this major debate is pretty special being from Wisconsin … let’s keep the Lite-hearted conversation alive for another decade!”
To commemorate the campaign’s return, Miller Lite introduces Beer Tapes, offering fans a nostalgic interactive experience and a VHS-shaped novelty glass for sipping in style.
Fans who want to join in the great debate can head to the last remaining Blockbuster store in Bend, Oregon on March 28 to pick up a Miller Lite Beer Tape in person. If fans cannot make it to Oregon, they will have a chance to win a Beer Tape through a sweepstakes (click here for details).
