You may have already seen the commercials for the “classic” STRETCHKINS, the four-foot characters that kids can dance, exercise and play with. Now they’re moving into licensed territory, and having already spied some pics of SCOOBY-DOO, BATMAN, SUPERMAN, HELLO KITTY and CARE BEARS versions in the pipeline, today comes the announcement that some familiar heroes will emerge in July. Just in time for the August release of the new TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES FILM, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello will be available as Stretchkins, in addition to the classic Playful Puppy, Pretty Unicorn, and Red Dragon models.
Marvin Azrak, a grandfather of 13, developed Stretchkins to take action against child obesity; “I wanted to create a new type of toy, one that would get my grandkids off their seats, away from their computers and video games, and into action.”

Each toy will be accompanied by a “Dance and Stretch” DVD, and should start hitting Walmart and Toys “R” Us stores next month.
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES stars Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, and Whoopi Goldberg, and will hit theaters this August from Paramount Pictures.
