DEAN JONES is everywhere these days. The DOG ON FLEAS mainman has become what I’ve likened to “the 1990s Puff Daddy of the family music scene – all up on everyone’s albums and/or tracks.” He’s either prolific, or just a workaholic – having produced THE OKEE DOKEE BROTHERS’ recent GRAMMY winner, CAN YOU CANOE? along with albums from RECESS MONKEY, ELIZABETH MITCHELL, and more in the pipeline (like the new JOANIE LEEDS album). Somewhere in between, Jones found time to record a solo album entitled WHEN THE WORLD WAS NEW, and on May 14th it will be unleashed upon the masses.
Recorded at his own No Parking Studio, WHEN THE WORLD WAS NEW features guest appearances from Morgan Taylor and Rachel Loshak or GUSTAFER YELLOWGOLD, Shamsi Ruhe, Marianne Tasick (SWEET CLEMENTINES), Jeremy Mage, Eli McNamara and more.
