I’m a big fan of EARTH FRIENDLY PRODUCTS. In addition to being a local, Illinois-based business, they make some of the best, 100% natural household products that we’ve ever tried. Back in December, I reviewed their ”Safeguard Your Home Pack” here on The Rock Father™, after having already used their ECOS laundry detergent for quite some time. My only gripe thus far is that their products aren’t carried in enough major retailers (get crackin’, Target, Walmart, and Babies R Us!). With their latest announcement, however, that should be changing pretty quickly. DISNEY BABY ECOS is on the way!

Since we’ve got a new daughter on the way this June, I was just thinking about how a return to Dreft is in our future. While I loved using Dreft when our first daughter was born (especially the scent!), I’m definitely going to give the Disney Baby Ecos assortment a try this time around. Here’s some details as revealed yesterday at the 2012 Natural Expo West in Anaheim, CA.

From the Press Release:The plant based, Ph-neutral products are especially formulated for infants and toddlers. Mothers and fathers can feel secure in knowing that not only are the clothes being cleaned, but also no residues are lingering behind to cause harm.  The new Disney Baby ECOS Detergent and Disney Baby ECOS Stain and Odor Remover will be adorned with the lovable animated character Winnie the Pooh, a symbol of comfort, safety and innocence, and his loyal sidekick, Tigger.

Products include:

• Disney Baby ECOS Laundry Soap: a hypo-allergenic, everyday laundry detergent, gentle  enough for baby’s sensitive skin. Ecos Baby is plant-based, non-toxic and environmentally responsible, derived from coconut and vegetables, with a coconut fabric  softener. It will be available in Chamomile and Lavender and Free & Clear.

• Disney Baby ECOS Stain and Odor Remover: an ideal, effective solution for removing stains/odors and other natural waste by-products on dirty laundry and fabric that remains safe and gentle for your baby and the environment. Stain Remover is 100% plant-based, non-polluting, Ph-neutral and bio-degradable.

They’re saying that the new Disney Baby Ecos line will be available at retailers nationwide and online. Keep your browser pointed to ECOS.com for updates.
