If there wasn’t a certain film called STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS set for release this December, I’d try using my time-shaper to fast-forward right to March 25, 2016 to see my two favorite superheroes battle it out on the big screen. See, BATMAN v. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE has me conflicted, if only because SUPERMAN was my favorite superhero during my religious reading of comic books in the 1980s… but then Tim Burton’s 1989 BATMAN film bumped the caped crusader into the top spot, where he’s forever remained. Personally, I believe it’s because my own personality is closer to that of BATMAN and his alter-ego, BRUCE WAYNE… but knowing that they’ll be going head-to-head is still a weird thing – but one I look forward to. SUPERMAN (Henry Cavill) is just hanging out at what’s left of Wayne Manor, and he really doesn’t look too happy about it.
While I’m one of the five people that did not see THE SOCIAL NETWORK, I’ve heard a lot of people refer to Jesse Eisenberg’s turn as Lex Luthor as “Zuckerberg.” Personally, I dig the idea that they’ve modernized the character, and this image reflects that sort of Mark Cuban “I own a basketball team” kinda vibe.
And finally, the armored-up BATMAN… ben Affleck just waiting to beat SUPERMAN. I’m wondering if that suit has an onboard audio system (I’d assume so, to speak with Jeremy Irons’ Alfred), so perhaps BATMAN is rockin’ a little Wesley Willis in there… “I Whooped Superman’s Ass”
But depending on the outcome, it’s totally feasible that Clark went back to the Daily Planet rocking this on his iPhone.
