When STAR WARS came back into theaters as the SPECIAL EDITIONS back in 1997, it also hit the toy aisles in a big way as well. Among the new toys offered, the Micro Machines Double Takes Death Star Playset by Galoob (which became a part of Hasbro) provided kids a way to have an outer space Death Star on the outside, but also a full Tattooine playset on the inside – complete with a Cantina, Luke’s house and more. Featured as today’s entry into Hasbro’s Force Friday Countdown Calendar, it’s weird to think that this set is as old now as the true “vintage” STAR WARS toys were when this hit the streets back in ’97.

Keep your browser pointed toward THE ROCK FATHER as we continue the #ForceFridayCountdown en route to #ForceFriday, the day that new Hasbro toys for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS arrive at retail! 55 Days to Go!
