Fact: I cannot read anything that is supposedly said by Admiral Ackbar without hearing it in his voice… specifically, the LEGO STAR WARS version. That happened yesterday when EW posted an excerpt of the forthcoming book, STAR WARS: AFTERMATH. The Mon Calamari trap-spotting Admiral is legendary, and today is the celebration of the birth of the actor inside the squid – Tim Rose, who was born on this day back in 1956. While it’s the 2010 Vintage Collection version of Admiral Ackbar featured in today’s entry into Hasbro’s Force Friday Countdown Calendar – we don’t have it at Rock Father HQ, so my calendar is flanked by some others.
