Sure, the calendar that most people use might say its summer, but the official Rock Father HQ seasonal calendar (noted in detail here) says that Fall/Autumn will run August 15-October 31 with the overlapping Halloween Season taking place September 15-October 31… so change is coming. Fall and Halloween are my favorites, so when the trailer for Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween (in theaters October 12) hit my inbox while I was traveling last week, I had to take note. I’m a bit belated on sharing this, but it’s filling me with seasonal warmth on this summer morning – not the kind brought on by the heat of the sun, but that of pumpkin spice. Take a look…
While I love spooky entertainment, R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps is something that I’d missed since it arrived in the 90s and was younger-skewing than I. Now, our daughters have discovered it, having watched the television series on Netflix repeatedly, and currently enjoying the original books. In fact, one kind neighbor actually added some Goosebumps books to our Simplay3 Neighborhood Sharing Library that I placed in our front yard. In a lot of ways, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween looks like a kindred tale to my own Death Walks the Streets.
