So here’s the deal: People ask me all the time, “The Rock Father, why do you rock so hard how do you look so great all the time?” Yes, they address me with “The” before “Rock Father,” much like you’d always address THE AQUABATS as “The” Aquabats. But nevermind that, because I’m being silly here… people never ask me that, because I look completely disheveled more often than not these days, but I’m working on it. I’m a work-at-home Dad, and while this website and my adventures in media are a big part of my life, the biggest part of my life is raising my two daughters, Adalyn and Finley. With all the time I spend with them (as I type this, we’re actually in-between Parent-Tot Playtime at the Park District and Gymnastics this afternoon), sometimes I forget to take care of myself.
That’s why the folks at Dove Men+Care, Walmart, Life of Dad and Lunchbox asked me to talk a little bit about having a “Hairmergency.” You see, if I don’t take care of my hair, my wife says that “It looks like an 80s TV Dad, like Alan Thicke from GROWING PAINS.” Well, I do work from home and have a dedicated office like Jason Seaver, so…
Honestly, there’s days I don’t even look in the mirror, and then I realize that my wife will be home from work soon, and she wants to see me looking great (at least in her eyes), so I need to clean up. While Dove Men+Care has a variety of hair care products that includes shampoos and conditioners for a host of Hairmergencies (from thin hair to thick, sensitive scalp to dandruffy), for me, the Dove Men+Care Fresh Clean Fortifying 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner does the trick. It cleans up the dirt and oil, while infusing my scalp with caffeine (Yes, glorious caffeine!) and menthol.
About my favorite: Dove Men+Care Fresh Clean 2-in-1 Fortifying Shampoo + Conditioner helps hair recover from all that action. It has menthol to refresh while it washes away dirt and grease. Your hair will be ready for more chilling out.
