When we last left RECESS MONKEY, the Kindie Rock Superstars were on a voyage to the bottom of the sea, living the life aquatic after releasing one of 2013’s finest albums aimed at the kids and family realm (DEEP SEA DIVER – review here). Not content with releasing just one album this year, the band recently found themselves stranded on an island… and rather than spend their time conversing with a volleyball or facing off against “the others”, they cranked up the “Coconut Radio” and crafted their second full-length for 2013, DESERT ISLAND DISC.
DESERT ISLAND DISC will arrive at finer music emporiums on October 15 (though being the Rock N’ Roll Gangster that I am, I’m listening to it right now!) and it contains the following sonic compositions:

And just like GILLIGAN’S ISLAND, what would the album be without some guest stars? Who might be appearing? Why, DEAN JONES, of course (Required via Section 6 of the Kindie Rock Guide Book: “DOG ON FLEAS’ Dean Jones will make a mandatory guest appearance and/or receive a production credit on all family music albums released on or after January 1, 2013 and continue until further notice.”), along with JUSTIN LANSING of the GRAMMY-winning OKEE DOKEE BROTHERS, JOHNNY BREGAR, and SAM BISCHOFF.
