I do love seafood, and when it comes to going out for such a dish, there’s only one place that comes to mind: Red Lobster. I think many will agree with me that one of the best times to visit Red Lobster is during their “Endless Shrimp” promotion, and that’s happening right now, for a limited time. This time around, there’s five fantastic shrimp dishes to choose from, and they’re being joined by two new Craft Cocktails that pair perfectly for a deliciously-grownup treat. In fact, I tried both during my birthday dinner last night!

Red Lobster Craft Cocktails

In a lot of ways, to me the Seaside Shandy is like a taste of Summer, while the Angry Lobster is like a taste of Fall. With it’s lemony hue, the Seaside Shady mixes Shock Top Belgian White Ale, Cointreau and fresh citrus juices together, topped with a lemon slice for a light, crisp flavor. The Angry Lobster feels warm – a mix of Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Cider, tropical fruit juices and an added kick of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey to push things toward excellence. Also topped with a lemon wedge, both the cocktails come served in a take-home glass.

Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Bisquits

Oh, those Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Served along with the Endless Shrimp comes the famous biscuits, along with a choice of salad (garden for me) and a side (I went with mashed potatoes). Tasteful opening acts for our feature presentation…

Endless Shrimp at Red Lobster!

I kicked things off with a mix of the old-school and the new-school – a perfect batch of Hand-Breaded Shrimp fried to a golden brown and served with a classic sauce, alongside the NEW Pineapple Habanero Coconut Bites – a new dish that offers a flavorful mix of sweet and spicy in each bite. Upon delivery, our server asked what I’d like next, so I went with the Shrimp Linguini Alfredo (Shrimp bites tossed within a Garlic Parmesan cream sauce on a bed of Linguini noodles) and the Teriyaki Grilled Shrimp (brushed with Soy-Ginger glaze and served on a skewer). The only variety I didn’t try was the classic Garlic Shrimp Scampi.
