More than 20 years into the game, and Pokémon seems bigger than ever… but now they’re getting small! Micro-collectibles are one of the hottest trends in play today, and now Pokémon is in on the action thanks to a new line of toys from TOMY. The Pokémon Petite Pals are an all-new collection of micro-figures, and kids can create a complete world filled with colorful playsets and accessories. We recently received the Pokémon Petite Pals Escape in the Forest Playset for review, and it’s a lot of fun. Let’s take a look…
First off, lets call the Pokémon Petite Pals Escape in the Forest Playset what it is: It’s a treehouse. In my personal opinion, the treehouse is a realm that’s been overdone since everyone has a treehouse playset. Still, I can’t complain about this one… it’s super cute! Plus, the detailing and included accessories put it in a good class.
“Time for a getaway with friends! Everyday life can be tiring, so give your Pokemon a break during a retreat to the forest. Meet iconic Pokemon as you have rarely seen them before!”
This set includes four miniature figures, with Pikachu, Oshawott, Fennekin and Fletchling all checking in. They’re stylized, and like several of the accessories, they feature a tiny suction cup at the bottom, making it easy to keep them in place. Additionally, the accessories themselves are impressive, with 24 included in this set.
Available now at an MSRP of $24.99, you can start a new collection that could easily become sought after by kids and collectors alike. Beware, though – the Petite Pals could become addictive. As the saying goes, “Gotta Catch ‘Em All!”
Available at Toys “R” Us, Amazon and other retailers nationwide.
