We’ve been digging the debut album from RIFF ROCKIT for awhile here at Rock Father HQ (check out my review right here), so when word came down that he was filming a live DVD at his L.A. showcase this past March, we were pretty excited. Now comes news that the DVD will be released this summer, and while the exact date has yet to be revealed, some behind-the-scenes pics and early info has emerged.
“Any entertainer will tell you that there is no better feeling than performing live for people onstage, but when you get to perform for children, and you have that instant connection and see them smiling and having fun, there are no words for it,” says Evan Michael, aka Riff Rockit, of his debut performance. “And to be the catalyst for creating happy memories for kids and their parents, it just feels perfect. You can’t feel any better.”
Riff Rockit Live In Concert will feature the complete performance, which included the Rockit’s theme song, along with “Big Wheel,” “Jump Up,” “Sandbox,” “Alphabet Rock,” and “Rock With Me.”
I’m not sure who the entire band was for the shoot, but drumming badass Glen Sobel (currently on tour with Alice Cooper) was manning the throne.
While we await further info on the new release, you can pick up a copy of Riff Rockit’s debut album on iTunes right now, or follow his adventures on Facebook.
